This doesn't mean I don't love Outback, I do. I love the steaks, the salads, and their bread. Delicious. I wanted to recreate it at home for those months when it's just not in the budget to pick up takeout. So here's my best recreation to date. December 3, 2010. Sparkling Green Pepper Jelly. This recipe comes straight out of our family cookbook that my Grandfather created back in 1996. This recipe is one of his that he used to sell at fairs and festivals. I learned how to can food by watching and helping him. I loved going out to the garden and picking blueberries or grapes and then canning. How do you use pepper jelly? 1 c ground bell peppers OR 1/2 c bell and 1/2 c jalapeno. 1 1/2 c vinegar. 1/8 tsp green or red food coloring. 5 1/2 c sugar.

Tuesday, November 30, 2010. Lyla loooooooves to swing. And she loooooves for anyone to watch her. She'll say "watch this! Jeff always has tons of work scraps to burn. this is what the boys and daddy do at least once a week. Annual Christmas tree chopping. Every year that we have chopped down a Christmas tree at Coker Tree Farm we have had a none walking baby. The first year I carried Brock the whole time (and also the second time since he didn't walk until almost 19 months old! About 1/2 way in the photo).
