2011年秋、家内とトレッキングを始めた。今まで山歩きなんてまったく興味なかったのに何でだろう。いざ始めてみると自分でも不思議なくらいに引き込まれていくこの世界。そんなトレッキング初心者がブログを始めてみました。さてこのトレッキング熱、これからどこに向いていくのか、自分でも予想がつきません。昨日、当地での目標としていた山、『羅臼岳』にとうとう登ってきた。昨年から何度も計画を練っては、天候、仕事、家のこと、などなどにより、そのたびに計画倒れとなっていた。その山を昨日登ってきた。世界自然遺産「知床半島」のほぼ中央に位置し、半島の背骨を成す知床連山の最高峰で標高は1660m。昨日は大興奮のまま一日を終えたが、今日になって目標を失ったせいか虚脱感というのか気の抜けた感じになっている。今になって気付くが、山は麻薬のようなものなのかも。ああ、早く次の目標を見つけなければ.（笑）。大沢の雪渓、後半は結構な斜度。正直ビビりました。山小屋のご主人に別れを告げ、歩き始の3時間程度は樹林帯。ここは世界屈指のヒグマ密集地域。何とも言えない緊張感で歩を進めていく。ち...さてさて、羅臼平からはあと1時間ほど...
