Galloping in the Silver Goose. Wednesday, November 26, 2008. In August we headed for Southwestern Colorado to meet friends at a campground on the Dolores River. The weather was perfect and the setting was beautiful. Those are the San Juan Mountains in the background right at Lizard Head Pass. The fishing was good and the margaritas even better. We chose the United Campground of Durango for our first trip because appropriately enough, the narrow gauge railroad runs right through the park. We pulled into the campground about 4pm and began our first setup- any thoughts Annie had previously of taking the "Goose" out on her own were quickly dis.
