Sunday, 28 November 2010. It's very weird to think it's under a month to Christmas when it's so hot and sunny. I've been quite surprised to see that Ugandans go into Christmas in a big way. All the supermarkets are full of the usual Christmas paraphernalia and the usual songs are being played over the tannoy. It's a little odd listening to in the Bleak Mid Winter when it's 29 degrees outside and you're wearing shorts. We're going to see a pantomine. They are doing Shrekerella. As most of the lecturers.

Monday, 5 July 2010. Life has been pretty much the same. I spend my mornings hiding from the maid while Will 'works' and my afternoons swimming or buying stuff! Usually milk as we seem to get through it at an alarming rate! Last Friday we had our first Ugandan dinner party. very exciting. We visited the Uganda museum which was not that impressive and, correct me if I'm wrong visitors, it managed to cover the British being here in brief but completely steered clear of the Idi. Although it did have a whole field of mud and straw huts that all looked the same but apparently showed the different traditional architectures in rural Uganda. Saturday, 22 May 2010. After 6 weeks in lovely Uganda it was time for me to head back to the UK for my PhD Viva :-(.
