If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: November 2010
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Saturday, November 27, 2010. 12 Miles With Mixed Feeling, But Completed. I met up with the gang at 9:00 at Draper this morning. The gang being me, Shay, Melissa, Peggy and Dave. Dave rode behind us on the bike. Dang, riding that slow has got to be an awesome ab workout! The last time I ran these trails was very frustrating for me. Ya know, when your head is just not in the right place? And, my left achilles was bugging me to no end. Well, today was so much better! Loop I h...

If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: It's Like An Easter Egg Hunt
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2010/12/its-like-easter-egg-hunt.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Wednesday, December 1, 2010. It's Like An Easter Egg Hunt. While training for the 24 Hour run last Summer, Tanya and I collected reflectors that we found on the trail that had come off bikes. We glued them to plant sticks to help guide us and the other runners on the trail that night. It was a nice effect. So last weekend, when I ran 12 miles at Draper, I found 1 reflector. Today, in just 30 minutes of Bluff Creek, I found 5! That tells me that my home trail is a tough one!

If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: Scott on the Trails???
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2010/12/scott-on-trails.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Saturday, December 4, 2010. Scott on the Trails? Don't be shocked, but Scott joined us at Clear Bay! Quite a group showed up for the run at Clear Bay on Saturday morning - about 20 of us! Scott, Scott Coleman and Julie's BF Dave did their on thing on bikes. It was one of those crazy days where my Achilles hit me almost as soon as I stepped out of the car. I tried my best to shake it off. Posted by Kat Miller. Thats the hardest part sometimes.making that decision to dro...

If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: January 2010
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Tuesday, January 5, 2010. My Dirty Double Dozen. I first heard about Chisholm’s plan for a 24 hour race at Bluff Creek while working at the Redman booth at the Oklahoma City Memorial Marathon. Wow, that’s a lot of endurance events in the same sentence! Once I heard about it, I knew I had to be a part of it. Before I knew it I was heading up the aid station for the event. I didn’t want to just volunteer at it, I wanted to run it! My husband Scott is not a runner, never will...

If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: December 2009
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Wednesday, December 30, 2009. So I didn't post much about my training for or the running of the Dirty Double Dozen. A race report may come some day as Joel sent out an email requesting some. Better do it before it gets too far gone in the memory. My focus for 2010 will be more about getting healthy than about getting in the miles. I'd like do do more cross training. Went to the pool with Shay yesterday. My shoulders feel it today! If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: May 2011
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2011_05_01_archive.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Wednesday, May 11, 2011. There isn't much I dislike more than running on a treadmill. Well, with the problems I've been having with my heart, I knew it was inevitable. Today I had my Treadmill Stress Test. I lasted 10 minutes! Boy, that should tell you that there is something going on with my heart. About 2 minutes after that, my rhythm converted to bijeminy:. These are from a website, not my actual test.). No wonder I get tired so quickly when I run! So, I failed that tes...

If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: April 2011
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Saturday, April 23, 2011. I got in my goal of 12 miles, but it took me 3 hours. Rather than struggling to get back my pace, I'm going to be happy that my heart and body still allow me to do what I love. Posted by Kat Miller. Links to this post. Saturday, April 9, 2011. The 6 Hour Run and Jerry. I don't like running around the track, and I soon realized I don't like 1.3 mile loops. (But, I seem to be OK with 2 mile loops? How did we keep track of our loops? After finishing ...

If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far: July 2011
http://katharinecranwell.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
If You Can't Run Fast, Run Far. Thursday, July 7, 2011. Interesting though, while waiting for her to call me back, Chisholm called me to discuss the Double Dirty Dozen. Event He wanted to know my plans. ME TOO! Am I in for the 6, 12 or 24? Oh, how I wish I knew. I won an entry to the 6 Hour, I want to do the 24, but should I settle for the 12? And being stressed about my heart sure doesn't help anything. If I can't run the way I want to, is this the life I want to live? Live, Baby, Live. I never train in...
