Going Agile: September 2006

http://goingagile.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html

Thursday, September 28, 2006. It's amazing how quickly we forget what problems we used to have and why we were doing certain things. It's kind of like the schitzo who gets on meds, starts feeling better and decides they don't need meds anymore and stops taking them, then gets crazy again. Well, we're going to release it, see what happens, then decide what to do. No f*@#ing wonder every other product release here has been a disaster. Posted by nitpickable at 10:29 AM. Going Agile: Agile 2007 Roundup

http://goingagile.blogspot.com/2007/08/agile-2007-roundup.html

Tuesday, August 21, 2007. Got back earlier this week. I'll make a short post of my impressions since we're two days from release. The big trend is in adoption in the enterprise. Last year's conference was all about effecting change in a hostile environment or how to build small successes into wider adoption. This year was more experience reports from large corporations taking Agile out of small groups and doing whole organizational change. Anyhow, gotta run. Posted by nitpickable at 2:30 PM.

Going Agile: April 2006

http://goingagile.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html

Friday, April 28, 2006. On Tuesday I ran the 59 Minute Scrum. Simulation for our team and the parallel team that will be adopting Scrum. From nothing but resistance to viral adoption of the practice is under three months. Quite impressive. The head of IT (above THUD, in our organization) sat in on part of it and she looked pleased. People are tangibly excited. How did you feel about the exercise. Did you have an adequate backlog ready or were you re-planning. What was problematic in the exercise. That di...

Going Agile: A Shining Ruby

http://goingagile.blogspot.com/2007/12/shining-ruby.html

Wednesday, December 26, 2007. Yes, so this company is all hot to trot on Ruby on Rails. Or rather, the CTO is. I can sum up my experience to date as follows:. Stage 1: Loved It. Stage 2: Hated It. Stage 3: Tolerating It. I'll do a longer post in a little bit, but here's the preview skinny. Stage 1: Loved It. Stage 2: Hated It. The documentation truely blows. When compared to what can be found for other, more mature platforms. Stage 3: Tolerating It. I'll follow up with a full review of the good, the bad,...

Going Against The Odds...

Going Against The Odds. Friday, November 2, 2012. In light of the Thanksgiving season (and events of this past year), I decided to post each day during the month of November about the things that I am thankful for. Clearly, I am a day late, but would you expect anything less? DAY 1: JESUS. His love for me and my love for Him. The fact that He died on the cross for my sins astounds me. There is no greater LOVE than that. I will however leave you with this song that I recently discovered. I love it! And I ...

I already said it before Writing a game has proven to be difficult, it is not a newfound discovery and I never doubted it. But it still doesn’t detract from the fact that it is difficult.
