Worth the Waite: Hernando's Hideaway
http://worththewaite.blogspot.com/2013/11/hernandos-hideaway.html
Micaela read in Grandma McKinley's journal about Hernando's Hideaway and wanted to reenact it. She made it as much like a real restaurant as she could. I wish I took more pictures but I seem to always photograph the beginning of an event and then get too wrapped up in the activities to remember to use the camera again! She made the sign. She arranged the dining area. She even made menus to hand out. Appetizer: mixed nuts and a green salad. Main course: Cheeseburger or Chicken strips. We did that a bit.

Worth the Waite: My original "Little Man" turns 9!
http://worththewaite.blogspot.com/2013/11/my-original-little-man-turns-9.html
My original "Little Man" turns 9! What an awesome kid! Jackson is helpful, kind, peace-loving, affectionate, brilliant, friendly and sharing. We love your guts! He chose spaghetti and meatballs for his bday meal - again. Pretty much a tradition now. Some of the least blurry pics of gifts:. A headlamp - Levi loves it. He steals it daily and Jackson thinks of a new hiding place, daily. Pokemon cards and cold, hard cash. Jonny loves spaghetti too. Fun Sushi = "Fushi". I love how this turned out. Subscribe t...

Worth the Waite: Elizabeth turns 7!
http://worththewaite.blogspot.com/2013/12/elizabeth-turns-7.html
Lizzy was the birthday girl. And Littlest Pet Shop was the theme. Here are the critters who came to celebrate with us after their animal make-overs. A whole bunch of cuties! As per tradition, I let her "order" her cake. I was very surprised when this cupcake-loving princess asked if she could have a giant cookie instead! She's the boss. Here it is to her specifications :). Some more "pet food.". Monkey Food (banana chips). This girl made out like a bandit and I believe everyone had a fun time.

Worth the Waite: A Trip HOME!
http://worththewaite.blogspot.com/2013/12/a-trip-home.html
We were able to make a holiday trip to Boise! Grandma Joan and Grandpa Ed were so brave to let us invade their clean, quiet home for 6 NIGHTS! We enjoyed a delicious turkey dinner, shopping, visiting the new Village and LOTS of snuggling, movies and tablet sharing:). We made it to the annual Ison Christmas FHE as well. Our family cherishes this tradition so this was a big deal. Christmas carols with handbells is always a huge hit. Saw some extremely cute baby cousins that we hadn't seen since July. And h...

Worth the Waite: Cornbelly's
http://worththewaite.blogspot.com/2013/11/cornbellys.html
We made a trip to Provo to meet up with Tyrel and Lexie,. Hoping to watch the Broncos continue their winning streak against Utah schools. They lost but there was still fun to be had. A friend told us about Cornbelly's. We decided to give it a shot. In the time it took me to unload the stroller, snacks, water, diapers, binky, blanky, camera, and Jonathan. They had this pile of leaves gathered and were having a great time. One of the corn mazes had some characters passing out treats. This was a huge hit!
