Poppy Fox: April 2011
http://theadventuresofpoppyfox.blogspot.com/2011_04_01_archive.html
EAT, SHOP, TRAVEL, EAT. Monday, April 18, 2011. Mudbrick, Church Road, Waiheke Island, NZ. A beautiful sunny Sunday around 2pm. A restaurant, vineyard and wedding venue. Myself and two friends. They were freshly back from their honeymoon. They had wine and I had NZ’s treasured 42 Below Vodka with ginger beer. A mixture of clientele. Tourists, people straight off the beach and destination diners like us. Five out of five. Would I go again? Yes I would love to go again. Afterwards we walked to Cable Bay an...

Soupus Dei: Wedding Cake
http://soupusdei.blogspot.com/2011/04/wedding-cake.html
Wednesday, 13 April 2011. I wrote this post about a year and a half ago, and didn’t post it because I’m rubbish. Here, at last, is the wedding cake, my most ambitious cooking project ever! My friend Ellie got married a few. Before I start, I should say that I simply couldn't have done this if it hadn't been for the internet, and one blog in particular - Smitten Kitchen's fabulous wedding cake blog. Which I used for the chocolate cake, vanilla cake, and the chocolate ganache. 4 oz plain flour. 1 rounded t...

Soupus Dei: Yellow Chicken Curry
http://soupusdei.blogspot.com/2009/03/yellow-chicken-curry.html
Sunday, 22 March 2009. Ok, so this looks like a pile of dog sick, but it's actually a really great dish and one of my favourite chicken curries. Adapted from a Delia. Recipe, it's quick, easy and delicious, and I make it all the time. We had it on Wednesday, when Steve came for dinner and to play board games - it went down very well, but I was still able to snatch one portion away to freeze before it was all gobbled up. Serves 2 people - easily multipliable for more). 1 large red pepper, roughly chopped.

Poppy Fox: September 2010
http://theadventuresofpoppyfox.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html
EAT, SHOP, TRAVEL, EAT. Thursday, September 30, 2010. Hanging out at Blacks in Soho. For a private member's club it is cheap and surprisingly low key and informal. It feels like you are as relaxed as you would be drinking in your own home. Dream! 67 Dean St, Soho, London. We didn't eat but the dining room looked gorgeous and with a menu to match. Waiters were unpretentious and friendly. Yes the light is suitably dimmed. Carter (not as cool as seeing Snoop. In Soho earlier in the day). How to get in.

Poppy Fox: November 2010
http://theadventuresofpoppyfox.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
EAT, SHOP, TRAVEL, EAT. Thursday, November 25, 2010. My first meal at Arbutus had been a very long time coming. I had walked past the quaint facade of the restaurant many times before and wished that I had been one of the convivial faces bunched up inside the warm interior. Even though it is set amongst a myriad of great restaurants on the same street (and not to mention in the wider Soho area).there is something about Arbutus that sets it apart. Arbutus, 63-64 Frith St. A Tuesday night 7:30 -10:30pm.
