Guided Asia: Passport to India: ...and then I was home again
http://guidedasia.blogspot.com/2009/09/and-then-i-was-home-again.html
Guided Asia: Passport to India. Join me as I explore the fascinating Golden Triangle region of India - Delhi, Agra, Jaipur and Fatehpur Sikri. Tuesday, September 8, 2009. And then I was home again. After 30 hours of travel getting back from Delhi (20 hours of flying and 10 hours in airports before and between flights), I finally made it home last night. I am thrilled to report I did not get sick - at all, in any way - while in India. And believe me, I was prepared for it! Since I use my blogs as a travel...

GuidedParis.com: My Adventure in the City of Lights: Sunday Stroll Down the Boulevard St-Germain
http://guidedparis.blogspot.com/2008/12/sunday-stroll-down-boulevard-st-germain.html
Sunday, December 7, 2008. Sunday Stroll Down the Boulevard St-Germain. A really cool thing in Paris is that on the first Sunday of every month, most of the museums are free - for everyone! They are always free to people under 25 (which is also a fantastic thing), but on the first Sunday of the month they open up for the masses. This is such a great way to get kids involved in art and culture from an early age and to give families something to do together that doesn't cost anything. I love France! If you ...

GuidedParis.com: My Adventure in the City of Lights: My Last Night in Paris
http://guidedparis.blogspot.com/2008/12/my-last-night-in-paris.html
Saturday, December 20, 2008. My Last Night in Paris. I can't believe how fast my time here has gone by. It's 8:00pm here now. I just cooked my "last supper". I haven't started packing yet. Once I start packing, I won't be able to maintain any. I loved every minute of living here and still can't believe I was lucky enough to have this chance - it's something I wanted so badly but never thought I'd ever be able to do. I just wish it didn't have to end. Click here to view all of today's photos (12/20/08).

GuidedParis.com: My Adventure in the City of Lights: Le Police... on Rollerblades?!?
http://guidedparis.blogspot.com/2008/12/le-police-on-rollerblades.html
Thursday, December 11, 2008. Le Police. on Rollerblades? I'm really not sure what to make of it, but I've seen a lot of police in Paris patrolling the streets on rollerblades! This photo of the rollerblading crime fighters was taken at the Christmas Market at St-Sulspice. But I've also seen them on the street! I saw two rollerblading police flag down and pull over a car today on a very busy street for a traffic infraction. And much to my amazement, the car actually pulled over! Gina C. Wilcox. 10 Reasons...

GuidedParis.com: My Adventure in the City of Lights: In Pursuit of Liberty
http://guidedparis.blogspot.com/2008/12/in-pursuit-of-liberty.html
Sunday, December 14, 2008. In Pursuit of Liberty. No Try a tiny island in the middle of the river Seine, just a bit down and around the bend from the Eiffel Tower. I had seen Lady Liberty's twin before, but only while looking out of a moving train window. So I decided today that my quest would be to go and visit her. And just like the pursuit of liberty itself, it wasn't easy. Lest there be any confusion here. FRANCE IS OUR FRIEND PEOPLE :-). I really wanted to get a photo of the statue with the Eiffel T...

GuidedParis.com: My Adventure in the City of Lights: Lunch at Le Grand Colbert
http://guidedparis.blogspot.com/2008/12/le-grand-colbert.html
Wednesday, December 17, 2008. Lunch at Le Grand Colbert. Just 5 minutes walk from my apartment is a restaurant called Le Grand Colbert. If you saw the movie "Something's Gotta Give", you know the restaurant because a scene in the movie was filmed there a few years back. I decided to sit down and have a late lunch at Le Grand Colbert. I ordered Onion Soup Au Gratin to start and it was unbelievably good. One part homemade croutons, two parts onion soup and 5 parts. Melted cheese. Talk about rich! Gina C...

GuidedParis.com: My Adventure in the City of Lights: Musée du Louvre
http://guidedparis.blogspot.com/2008/12/i-finally-made-it-to-museum-on.html
Friday, December 12, 2008. I finally made it to a museum! On Wednesdays and Fridays the Louvre is open well into the evening, so I took advantage of the extended hours and went. I decided to walk to the Louvre since it's only about 10 minutes away and I wanted the exercise. By the time I got there, my toes were literally numb and my face was frozen. It's really getting cold here! I guess I spent about 3-4 hours at the museum tonight. I know, it doesn't seem like nearly enough time, does it? Oh man I love...
