Your range-of-motion will follow muscle and joint function. (Meaning that the muscles will pull and push the joints in their natural direction so that there is no unnecessary strain.). Psychology of Working Out. Eat for health, not for taste. Fortunately, most healthy foods taste good. We have to be willing to give up variety, however. But real food is usually so delicious and satisfying, that variety is not too badly missed. Nutrition is more important than exercise because without good quality protein, fats, enzymes, vitamins, minerals and water, we would not have the energy necessary to work out or the nutrients required to rebuild muscle and support our internal organs.

Psychology of Working Out. Women actually have more to gain from weight training than men do, for two reasons. (1)Women are designed to carry less muscle. (2)Women lose more lean muscle mass, each year, than men do. Muscle increases metabolism and burns more calories, day and night. This is part of the reason why women tend to gain more weight, over time, than men do. Weight bearing exercise also helps to prevent osteoporosis.
