Tuesday, July 12, 2005. I'm just testing out how to use photos and text in this blog. This is Chinon, where we went last summer, the tourist information office in the foreground, the lane leading up to the castle, whose turret pops up above the trees. And to the right is the same flag you can see near the turret, when we'd climbed to the top and were the king and queen of the castle. Well, Sam clung to the inner wall, while I leaned on the parapet. Posted by Dave Cryer at 9:26 AM. View my complete profile.

They find it difficult to grasp the steering wheel. So they have to drive slowly. Stands to reason. This picture was taken near Applethwaite on a lovely walk we did from Keswick across the fields to some woods near Bassenthwaite lake. Posted by Dave Cryer at 9:15 AM. Friday, April 01, 2005. HAIKU HIKE (World Walks)

HAIKU HIKE (World Walks). Thursday, April 03, 2008. Listening to the Invigilator : Digbeth. Discussion I was struck by oblique and direct references to boredom - the gallery invigilators job being referred to as sometimes boring. When transposed to an outside space where the invigilator has to stand or sit and simply 'watch over' then the space and the action of simply watching over it sets up an interaction that is boring in such a way that it can transcend boredom. If we let it. Links to this post.

haiku homestead | our poetry in motion

Our poetry in motion. Our English Tudor remodel: progress. August 25, 2017. Unlike projects on those amazing “stylist” blogs (that we all adore) where companies “reach out” to the blogger and sponsor a project for marketing purposes, real projects like ours take a while. No fast track here (which, to put things in perspective, is totally okay). But the guys are making progress on the deck railing and are seeing the light at the end of the tunnel! Here is the view from our dining area. August 24, 2017.
