The Bad Vilbel Brose's. April 10, 2009. Trip to the Castle-Burg Stahleck. Last weekend, we had a fun adventure to a medieval castle on the Rhein River in a little village called Bacharach. Our family spent two nights in this castle turned youth hostel and had so much fun. Above is the entrance to the castle. Below is a view of the Rhein from the courtyard. This is also the view from our room. Dreamy! Above Sarah's bed was a little window once used by lookouts/guards. How cool! April 13, 2009 at 6:21 PM.

Sunday, June 21, 2009. So after a few minutes of just sitting on the bike and getting a feel for it, reassured that he wasn't going to fall off, we were ready to start moving. This brought out more fear, but I'm not ashamed to say that he was bribed into keep trying ("If you don't , you won't get to go see Daddy's martial Arts class" always works wonders! At last he got moving! He was actually pedaling! He figured out how to stop himself! He was having fun! He was riding his bike! I was so proud of him!

Monday, December 29, 2008. Even though Shawn wasn't feeling well, the boys and I made our way to the Candlelight service at church on Christmas Eve. When we came home, we found that Shawn wasn't feeling better at all. In fact, he felt worse! Trying to keep up Christmas spirit and traditions, the boys got dressed in their holiday pajamas, we made cookies for Santa and watched The Polar Express! He ended up being admitted to the hospital and was there for three days! What a way to remember Christmas!
