Friday, September 29, 2006. At one point David said something about not looking forward to when we got to the point that we were actually competing over something. I laughed and agreed, and then we both looked at each other. I doubt it will ever happen, even though it usually does with most couples: we revel in each other's successes and stregnth too much. How cool is that? Thursday, September 28, 2006. I drink too much, so I have given away the rest of the wine (no, i haven't quit smoking yet - one thin...

Monday, July 31, 2006. Blame it on dave. Dave convinced me to listen to a bit of country. it's a long story, but the point is that i came home tonight and downloaded Cry. It's absolutely excellent, and frankly, the song Free is good enough to join the ranks of Morphine's You Look Like Rain. I'm posting the lyrics, but honest: you so have to hear it. I had it tough when I was just a little kid. It didn't matter what I thought. It didn't matter what I did. Cause I had just enough imagination. In crash test...

Friday, January 19, 2007. Cool, uncool, and a question. Tiger is at work with me today because he was suspended. I'm going through Project Gutenburg. Finding something for him to read when he is done with his assignments. What book would you take from the Gutenberg site first to bind and put in your own collection? Monday, January 15, 2007. http://theheidipage.blogspot.com/2007/03/20-same-as-in-town.html
Tuesday, March 06, 2007. 20, same as in town. When i was getting lunch at the coffee shop across the street, i asked how much the pop tarts were. "Two dollars, same as at school." O, ok, i. . . . uh. Wait a minute. Now, i know i'm not totally wrinkled or anything, but this is starting to get out of hand. Michael thought i was "seriously not that old," a compliment coming from someone who can't legally buy beer yet. When David and I were in the grocery store, buying plenty of food including. fitness log: December 2014
http://fitness.heidichronicles.net/2014_12_01_archive.html
Wednesday, December 10, 2014. Wednesday's Food log and notes. My bones ached badly enough to wake me up at 2:30 this morning, and Vivian got up with a cough at the same time. I did dishes and took some ibuprofen, which seems to help. A 5 am breakfast of steel cut oats was flavored with plum jam and cardamom- super yummy. Then 8 am real breakfast of two scrambled eggs, an ounce or so of cheddar and one tomato, with basil. Vivian is finally asleep again at nine. Coffee at 10:30 and more ibuprofen.

Monday, November 19, 2012. Mission Four: Try something new. What’s an activity you’ve always wanted to do, but haven’t worked up the courage for or found the time to complete yet? Maybe it’s a dance class, a parkour class, hiking a particular part of your town, taking a martial arts class, going rock climbing at your local gym, or attending your first yoga class? Mine is parkour, and I looked up this awesome post on how to get started. Philosopher. Geek girl. Librarian. Plum tea. View my complete profile.

1UP!: Mission Five: Do Less
http://mytradingcard.blogspot.com/2012/12/mission-five.html
Wednesday, December 12, 2012. Mission Five: Do Less. This week's mission, in addition to getting back on the bike:. YOUR MISSION TODAY: Analyze where your time is being spent, and make sure “healthy living” fits into that mix. Just saying it’s a priority and combining it with “but I don’t have time” is crap. To make it a priority, you’re going to have to eliminate the stuff that really doesn’t matter. It might be painful at first, but you will survive. What you’ve invested is a sunk cost at that po...

1UP!: I decided to level up my life
http://mytradingcard.blogspot.com/2012/11/i-decided-to-level-up-my-life.html
Monday, November 5, 2012. I decided to level up my life. Wimp: I'm in danger of having my heart explode if I strain myself. Strolling: able to bike or walk for a few miles without it being a big deal. Ride a stationary bike or walk a treadmill for 30 minutes every day (about 4.5 miles / day). Party with friends after 135 miles. Struggler: I can lift heavy stuff, but not for long, and not repeatedly. Smooth Certainty: able to lift light, realistic weights repeatedly without it being a big deal.
