Boy or Girl Swyter - Helena Swyter

http://www.helenaswyter.com/boy-or-girl-swyter

Crafts & Sewing. Holiday & Celebration. Boy or Girl Swyter. July 14, 2015. For weeks I’ve been asking Will if he thought the baby was a boy or a girl. I knew we’d find out at the anatomy scan at 20 weeks (at the same time we’d find out much more important news like that the baby’s heart had developed properly) but I was dying to get a hint. The internet is full of whack science methods for determining the sex of your unborn baby. I dove in. Tests “Performed”:. Heart Rate (above 140 means a girl): Girl.

Crafts & Sewing. Holiday & Celebration. My Favorite Things: January 2015 Edition. January 30, 2015. January was a good month. Early in the month I had brunch with some friends to celebrate recent engagements. July is going to be an awesome month! I had the honor of speaking at BASH conference. In Phoenix, Arizona, in the middle of the month. I met some wonderful women and it was nice to be out in the sunshine for a brief moment while Chicago froze. Tagged: monthly favorite things. Telling the Family - Helena Swyter

Crafts & Sewing. Holiday & Celebration. July 16, 2015. On Monday morning, Will and I found out we are having a little girl. We booked this appointment weeks ago, so I had plenty of time to think about how I would share this news with the rest of my family. A certain flower company named for their phone number dropped the ball pretty hard on this one and only one of the three bouquets was actually delivered. My parents got their bouquet within two hours of the order being placed (yay! People were, of cour...

Crafts & Sewing. Holiday & Celebration. Book Report: November and December 2015. January 28, 2016. Everyone loved this book and I … didn’t. I hate when that happens. That’s so far away! A Red Herring Without Mustard. Another series I love – Alan Bradley’s Flavia de Luce! I know I can always count on these books to provide a good story and a fun escape. Eleven year-old Flavia is hilarious and witty. There are few pleasures like a reliable series of books. The Taming of the Queen. December was a month of r...

The Campbells: May 2015

http://brianandcharlotte.blogspot.com/2015_05_01_archive.html

Tuesday, May 19, 2015. I really can't believe another preschool campout has come and gone. This year flew by. FLEW. This is sort of our last big thing with school for the year. And its always amazingly fun! This year rain was predicted, but it stayed away and it kind of made for a fun, small, intimate group. Kia and I sent this picture to one of our favorite people, the kids' teacher Sandy, she couldn't make it this year and we sure did miss her! And these friends being terms for the picture! So I'm thin...

Wednesday, September 17, 2014. Last weekend we scored some sweet tickets at the Staples center.to walking with dinosaurs. Thanks Farmers. We had a heard about this show a while back and found out they were finally touring again. We got there with plenty of time to walk around before the show started. We found our seat, and of course at all of our snacks before the show started. T-Rex of course came last, its a blurry picture below but there he is chasing down ankylosaurus. everyday organizing: "Put Away" Baskets

http://www.everyday-organizing.com/2014/10/put-away-baskets.html

Thursday, October 23, 2014. I don't know about you, but I feel like I am always picking up my house. Actually, it isn't just a feeling, it is a fact. Perhaps I am a little OCD about clutter, but I must pick up my house at least six times a day, only to watch it slowly get messy again. It is a lose-lose situation. A couple months ago, I came up with the idea of "put away" baskets. I labeled each basket with an initial cut out from my Silhouette, one for each of our children. I was (and am) worried that th...

The Campbells: August 2014

http://brianandcharlotte.blogspot.com/2014_08_01_archive.html

Friday, August 22, 2014. This past week we took it out on its inaugural trip - and what better place than Rincon (its also one of the only place that still has first come first serve spots during the summer). We headed out midday on Sunday and found the perfect spot (71 for the record). We were settled and unpacked in no time and down on the beach. The boys were in seventh heaven, they love beach camping more than anything and had been dying to take the RV out. Even Charlie was a happy camper. Around lun...

The Campbells: Last week

http://brianandcharlotte.blogspot.com/2015/08/last-week.html

Monday, August 3, 2015. Last week was our last week of school camp. The boys' last day was one of my volunteer days which was kind of nice to get to see them enjoy their last day before school starts back up. Scott was in an uncharacteristically mellow mood and sat and read most of the morning.so ready for kindergarten. At little later he recruited some friends. And my favorite in all the land is capturing Miss Jennifer in the background.this is how she loves our babies. Could not love her more! No Time ...

The Campbells: March 2015

http://brianandcharlotte.blogspot.com/2015_03_01_archive.html

Tuesday, March 31, 2015. Ya'll, I think we can officially call ourselves campers. The weekend after Owen's birthday camping trip we headed out again, this time to Carpinteria with a group of friends from school. Most of the group went up thursday, but we waited til friday because of work and book fair obligations. Packed the essentials of course:. When daddy got home from work we were ready to hit the road and made it to Carp by dinner. Such a happy guy:. Love my woman tribe! My guys roasting marshmallows.

The Campbells: December 2014

http://brianandcharlotte.blogspot.com/2014_12_01_archive.html

Saturday, December 27, 2014. I was an absolutely terrible picture taker on actual Christmas, but I did manage to capture the events leading up to the big day. The 23rd we FINALLY fit Santa into our schedule. We got there right when it opened and were the second people in line, I personally cannot handle waiting half an hour or more to meet Santa. My 20$ picture from the elves. Seriously y'all, its a racket. Yet somehow I buy a copy every year. Per our tradition we headed to Sprinkles after. Well surp...

The Campbells: November 2014

http://brianandcharlotte.blogspot.com/2014_11_01_archive.html

Sunday, November 30, 2014. Safety Day (better known as cupcake day). Last week at school we had safety day. A few parents organized a day where the police department, fire department, CHP, the forest service and EMS came to school, complete with trucks and equipment. Scott met up with his buddies first thing and I basically didn't see him the rest of the day, except for from behind the camera lens. Hopefully I never see these dudes show up anywhere in the back of a cop car, ever again! After safety day g...

The Campbells: June 2014

http://brianandcharlotte.blogspot.com/2014_06_01_archive.html

Monday, June 30, 2014. At the end of each school year there is a raffle basket fundraiser at our school. Each class puts together a basket with a theme and then we raffle them off. Our class happened to do a science basket.and we happened to win it! The finished product came out beautifully, and then we waited for it to dry again. Torture. The volcano construction happened during a rare nap for Owen, but baby boy was up in time to get the party started with the eruption. The results did not disappoint.

2014, this year is a new year for our family. The first year since I can remember, we are going for family vacation. The view above the sky. We stayed at Danau Toba international Cottage Parapat. We reach there at 8pm, and nothing to see, just black sky with a few stars. Luckily, the place quite nice, cozy, and without air-cond (just the natural wind and breeze). But for me, it too cold and always getting a nightmare. Huhu. Wake up time heading for breakfast. I am fat. What the heck, enjoy the journey.
