The beauty of a horse is that he becomes your vehicle, an extension of your body, so when you are riding, the pain and the limitations disappear. After 5 surgeries, 3 of which were spinal, the only time that I am not in pain is when I am on a horse. Riding a horse not only eliminates the physical pain, but the emotional pain which accompanies it after a life-altering injury.
