It was exciting and exhausting. It may take me a year to write about our travels but I'll get working on it. Matt had our iphone and shot like crazy too. A couple of places we don't have any pics of (b/c we used our camera - silly us! And Matt is in very few photos (very sad) BUT we have some. :). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom).

Tuesday, February 7, 2012. Thailand (round 2) and Laos - Winter 2011. Well, we've managed to survive yet another holiday season thousands of miles away from our family. Next year however, I hope to be buried in the snow making snowmen and snow angels with my niece and I want to have pine needles all over my house! The first couple of days were spent in Chiang Mai where we hooked up with some of our friends for dinner and daily excursions. After Pai, we flew back to Chiang Mai for a quick overnight and ca...

Monday, September 19, 2011. Remainder of Summer. and early Fall. It was a rough end to our summer. We played so hard we just crashed on the beach for about a week (or two). Visiting a little bakery near our place. Click on this pic - you will see the most ADORABLE chocolate lab! I asked him to shake and rollover but I don't think he knows English. (or he does and he didn't feel the need to entertain me.). A vivacious care package decorated by my ever so talented niece GG. (who is almost 3! Simple templat...

Tuesday, June 19, 2012. Yet, in 2 years, a comfort has formed and I am more in the moment of "now" than I have ever been. Japan has taught me to slow down and experience each day. Cherish the small things (remember me brewing my first cup of coffee in Japan? Adapt, be flexible and take risks. I definitely won't describe myself as a "risk taker" (not even close) but just putting that one foot forward can make all the difference. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Japanese-On: July 2011
http://japanese-on.blogspot.com/2011_07_01_archive.html
Monday, July 4, 2011. Back in June, Matt and I spent 6 days up in Northern Japan with 7 High School students from FIS. It was an incredible trip. I took a journal with me and decided I'll just type up what I wrote in my journal about the days we were there. Sunday, July 19. 8:57 am (on the plane). Matt and Max have navigated our way through Tokyo! I never imagined that at some point in my life I'd be in a full size van in the middle of Tokyo! So far so good - we're heading north! 7:17 am Monday, July 20.
