I flew into Reagan National, and took a $20 cab ride to Jen's apartment in the Adams Morgan. District. Here's a shot of upper Adams Morgan the next morning after having bignets. In the fall of 2011, I rode to Gerlach, NV to attend a motorcycle get-together of long-distance motorcyclists. During the weekend I rode north of Gerlach on Nevada SR-34 past the turn-off to Soldier Meadows and up to Fly Geyser. By the time I wanted to visit again, it was no longer open to the public. But the caretaker of the property often had breakfast on Saturday mornings at Bruno's in Gerlach, and I caught him there once and asked for permission to visit a 3rd time, which was conditionally granted.

February and March, 2006. Our friends Gary and Jeanne own a theme park in north Idaho called Silverwood. For which I redesigned and reimplemented the Website in the fall of 2005. 2010 Yukon Solo Motorcycle Trip. Ther than the fact that three of the major roads I'd planned were closed when I was there, I had a great trip. Got reaquainted with an old friend, met a couple new ones, and experienced a bunch of new-to-me roads. The bike worked great, and I had a wonderful time. Dread Pirate Kermit's Final Ride. This grove of cottonwoods is just about on the CA/NV border, and with some water in the creek below (Smokey creek? We imagined this would have been a favored camping spot for pioneers heading West in the 1800's. Lunch at Bruno's, per tradition. We all had Gin'n'Tonics in Ken's honor. We agreed Ken would order "well" gin, so we did too. Scott Elam and Scott Benson joined us via a ride up the paved road (Hwy 447 from Fernley, NV). Scott Elam pays his final respects.
