We're less than 24 hours from our court hearing tomorrow, and although I've been to visit Harry many, many times while he's been at BH2, it was so pretty today, will all the new snow, and I couldn't help but snap lots of pictures of the grounds. We first came here in the summer of 2004, to pick Skip up after our court hearing, and here we are more than 4 years later, preparing for our court hearing for Harry! These are a few of my favorites from today.

Life as only we know it. Saturday, May 31, 2008. In honor of my mom's 80th birthday today, I want to share this with ya'll. I was originally saving it for a scrapbook page I hope to make, but I think today is the perfect opportunity to pass it along. Someday when JR is old enough to understand the logic that motivates a parent, I will tell him as my Mom told me:. I loved you enough to ask where you were going, with whom, and what time you would be home. Should have taken 15 minutes. I know mine was.

Life as only we know it. Friday, January 23, 2009. After four years of paperwork and waiting and 5 court hearings, our adoption of Harry was granted in the Irkutsk Regional Courthouse, Siberia, Russia. We'll be here another 2.5 weeks or so, waiting out the mandatory 10 day waiting period, then gathering his new paperwork, and stopping in Moscow to register him at the US Embassy. Then, we'll be home! Praise to our God! Fantastic, I am so happy for you! January 23, 2009 at 9:23 AM. Nicolle nailed it- chills.

Life as only we know it. Sunday, August 31, 2008. I think he has serious problems. For the life me, I can't figure out why a 14 lb dog, enjoys eatin aluminum! He once nibbled on a crushed soda can, and this week, he chose my formerly star-shaped cookie cutter! You can see teeth marks in it for goodness sake! Sure glad he did it AFTER we did our baking! Stretching it, but we're not telling. He said his favorite part of the day was EATING the cookies, but then of course, it was mine, too! I found this pict...

Monday, August 5, 2013. The second week of July we headed back to our favorite vacation destination, Madeira Beach, FL. It was a much needed break after the stress from Braden being in the hospital the week before. The weather was awesome.much better than June of last year when Tropical Storm Debbie wrecked our week! Tuesday, October 30, 2012. I think this is the closest we have EVER been to Halloween without carving our pumpkin, but this month has been super busy and it totally snuck up on me. I truly believed that I had an extra week before Halloween! I finally bought a pumpkin at Target a few days ago and Parker got to choose the stencil. He picked Angry Birds, of course! Wednesday, July 3, 2013. The pain meds had him saying all sorts of funny things! He slept off and on through the evening and watched movies on his kindle until bedtime. Braden got two more doses of the antibiotic intravenously and then we were finally able to leave around 1:30! We were so happy to be heading home and CHOA made a really scary experience much more bearable. They are an amazing hospital and I think Braden actually likes going to see the doctor now!
