Although Hodskinson was the surveyor of the Suffolk map he had other talents and was involved as engraver, surveyor and publisher in three other County Maps, those of Bedfordshire (1765), Yorkshire (1771) and Cumberland (1774). And this digital redrawing is an exact copy of the original - the only feature omitted are the hachures used to show Suffolk’s rolling hills and vales.
