are we like mothers? | Inspiration for childless and childfree women
https://oliviareadinginthebath.wordpress.com/2012/06/10/are-we-like-mothers
Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. Are we like mothers? I wonder how others feel about the idea that even though we’re not mothers, we might be. Why not Katharine Hepburn and Mae West? I think it’s because, as women who dedicated their lives to the hands-on care and nurture of others, Florence Nightingale and Mother Teresa are most easily likened to mothers – and not only t...On the on...

mothers, non-mothers and friendship | Inspiration for childless and childfree women
https://oliviareadinginthebath.wordpress.com/2012/05/11/mothers-non-mothers-and-friendship
Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. Mothers, non-mothers and friendship. I won’t think you’re bonkers. Whatever it is, I already definitely think you should do it! My really-into-it mother friends and I often talk like this and I love it. Or this post about whether or not non-mothers are a collective. But in the meantime, how about you? The gorgeous art quilt above is presented here with.

Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. At 30,000 feet, enlightenment seems much more possible, I find. Yesterday, as the lights of Ho Chi Minh City drifted past in the darkness underneath me, I read these words by Zoketsu Norman Fischer (in Shambala Sun, May 2012):. When very suddenly relieved of a wallet, camera, iPod, journal, some medicine and a locket (why? A helpful thought (I do).

Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. There is a post about a dream. That I’ve been thinking about ever since I read it. The dreamer, who recently stopped trying to conceive, describes this part of her life as “a process of firstly digging myself out of a deep dark hole, but at times I see light so I guess I’m on the way”. Or this post about the pressure to succeed. Do you have anything t...

Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. From what I read and hear, the end of the phase often seems to be determined by a number. Forty (which I am only a few years off myself) seems to be a loaded birthday for many women. I was interested to find this observation in an article. Written by Lionel Shriver, author of. We Need to Talk About Kevin. Or this post about travel. April 21, 2012.

Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. After a slightly bumpy start. Buddhism infiltrates everything in this place, not just the temples but all over town, with saffron robed monks wandering around, shrines full of incense and flowers, and at least one peaceful, golden face looking down at you, serenely and reassuringly, almost everywhere you go. So further to yesterday’s post. And I’...

Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. A world that tends to assume motherhood is either the reality or the goal for all women, this small corner of cyberspace assumes that your life has a different focus. Or perhaps, like Olivia (the thirty-six year old woman who is busily creating this site and whose feet these are) you just like to read in the bath. 45 comments on “ about. March 11, 2012.

Inspiration for childless and childfree women. Thoughts and ideas to inspire, uplift and affirm the childless and childfree, by circumstance and by choice. I’ve written here before about my sense that we live in a culture which offers lots of information about how to be a mother, but very little information about how to be an adult woman in any other way. But on the other hand, I think one of the difficulties some of us are facing arise because non-motherhood lacks. I read so often that we are part of a ...

Living my Life: My thesis
http://mylifeisbeinglived.blogspot.com/2012/05/my-thesis.html
Tuesday, 29 May 2012. Next year I should be doing my Psychology Honours thesis. Yes I know - too old for all that stuff - I've already done an Honours and Masters degree, and yes here I am again - mad or what! Partly I thought that Psychology would be a good career change for a single mother so here I am now childless and wondering if I want to continue with psychology .anyway just pressing on for the moment. 30 May 2012 at 13:36. And Id happily fill in a survey. 31 May 2012 at 18:47. What is my thing?
