June 25, 2015. On Tuesday I went to my favourite yarn shop, Hoop Haberdashery in a town of Tenterden. I’ve just decided if my sister in law doesn’t want my niece to wear this vest I will just give it to someone who will. The pattern I am knitting is Highbury vest. The yarn I’ve picked is lovely extra fine merino DK from Patons. It is soft, non-itchy at all and machine washable. Perfect yarn for kids. I like the little mock cable detail on the vest. I am also still continuing knitting a Shetland shawl.

Wednesday, 9 October 2013. Recently, I've been missing my blog and felt it was high time that I re-entered the blog world. Who knows how long it will last this time but what can I say? Life kinda tends to take over. I'm mainly blaming this young man, Wilf. I've also started going to a stitch-and-bitch at the wonderful Hoop. Trying to kick start my own 'sewing for fun' projects. And started to learn how to crochet, just for good measure! Beth of The Linen Cat. 15 October 2013 at 16:05.

Unique hand embroidery made in England: May 2014
http://themasonbee.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Sunday, May 25, 2014. At least I like to think it's on route, sure we've been having a lot of the customary spring showers but still June is only a week away so I thought I would bring at a little closer. How? Well, I've been stitching the sample for the next free seasonal pattern, summer. I've kept it bright and cheery, as with the spring design and the stitches are simple but very effective, so that you can perfect the stitches and whip it up in no time at all. Speaking of the spring design. What else ...

Things Wot I Have Made: February 2014
http://thingswotihavemade.blogspot.com/2014_02_01_archive.html
Things Wot I Have Made. I'm doing quite a bit of knitting at the moment, what with cardigans for progeny, cardigans for me, temptingly beautiful lacework'd T-shirt thingies on the cover of Pom Pom Quarterly. But I do like a bit of crochet. I love the fact that if you muck things up it's a simple case of taking out the hook, pulling the yarn and the stiches out before inserting hook back into relevant loop. None of the soul-destroying moments of desolating realisation that you will never. Machine washable...
