Hot Side of the Moon. A photo blog of my two-year stay in Bangladesh. Tuesday, March 8, 2011. Discovery Week: Habitat for Humanity. This past week was Discovery Week at my school, when everyone in grades 9-11 goes on one of seven planned trips, either in Bangladesh or to another nearby country. My trip was a Habitat for Humanity trip in Bangladesh, from Sunday to Saturday. For the first 3 days, we stayed in Mymensingh, a town north of Dhaka, to work on two Habitat build sites. We didn't end up going to Versailles, but the whole trip was so amazing and relaxing, and it was wonderful to experience winter again. And, of course, the food was amazing.
