Our Little Red Saltbox.A step back to a simpler time of living. Wednesday, November 19, 2014. Craft Class Week 5…. This week's craft was a tree skirt. I just love how they all turned out! I really loved this one! I think it's the larger trim, or maybe it's just that it's more the colors I like for myself. It was a small class this week. Our winter storm really messed things up, but it is that time of year. (frown). She really doesn't like sewing projects! Only 3 more classes left! Craft Class Week 3.

The number one reason is that I get to prepare our pantry for the upcoming winter season. Although it's a lot of work at the time, it's also very rewarding. Especially when you get to enjoy the taste of all your hard work with family and friends. If you feel a little stir in your heart to say a prayer, we'd appreciate it! Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Our Little Red Saltbox.A step back to a simpler time of living. Friday, April 10, 2015. April Keeper's of the Home. It's just that kind of day today. Sleet and freezing rain. Which for me, calls for footy pajamas! Last night we had our monthly Keeper's of the Home meeting. We had a wonderful time making homemade ricotta cheese and rosemary bread. This is the kit. We used for making the cheese. All you need to add is the milk. It's fun and easy.even if you have never made cheese before. Can you smell it?

We have had a lot going on here, so blogging had to take a back seat. I'm back now, though! Here's a few pictures for you. For Christmas, my husband bought us tickets to see Neil Diamond in Boston. The concert was this past Monday. We drove to Portland and then took the train into Boston. What a fun trip! Oh, how I love Neil Diamond! I prefer hanging jeans and towe...

I usually don't do any Fall decorating until after Labor Day, but I am going to so a little bit now. Life is about change and nothing stays the same. I have found I need not fear change. For the Lord has put the power of faith in our hearts not fear. For I will go and do as the Lord commands. He will provide the way for me to accomplish his command. Links to this post.

Thursday, February 27, 2014. My Thrifting Finds Of The Day - 2/27/14. Hi Everyone, I am so sorry that it took so long to get back with a new post! First up is a beautiful blue pottery vase, for the pastel vase collection. All the items I am showing you today were from the last big Estate Sale I went to (in the previous post) and there are still loads of it that I need to take pix of and show you. WooHoo, I got lucky and found not one, but two! An old letter and key holder - love the old decals on it!

http://ourlittleredsaltbox.blogspot.com/2014_05_01_archive.html
Our Little Red Saltbox.A step back to a simpler time of living. Wednesday, May 28, 2014. Well, I guess it's time for a bit of catching up! Where shall we begin? Since my last post we have celebrated two birthdays. Our middle son, Thomas turned 26 in April and then our eldest granddaughter, Piper, turned 5 at the beginning of May. I've been doing LOTS of painting! I have FINALLY finished the stairs! I still have so much more painting to do, but the stairs were actually the worst part for me. Deborah jean'...

Not the greatest looking picture, but you can see the whole rainbow! I'm pretty sure this was the brightest rainbow we have ever seen. The colors were so pronounced. My husband and I had a light breakfast this morning. The strawberries were from Crabtree Farms, and they were delicious! I know I do. They are so curious aren't they?

Do you ever do that? A little of this, a little of that, but nothing overwhelming. The first thing I did this week was to look up the dates on the old books I bought at the antique store last week. One was published in 1840 and the other in 1879. How neat is that? The smaller one, at 2 1/2" x 3 1/2" is valued at $25!
