I was going for a walk around midday the other day, on a weekday. People around me were on their lunchbreak and here was me, walking along soaking up the sun, with no work to go back to in the afternoon. Now that we have sold our business and finished up training the new owners, this is my new life. Plus, my commute is just down the hall and the cats can come too.

Spiced Cherry Pear Pie. 1 can tart pitted cherries in water. 2 TBSP instant pectin. 1/4 cup tapioca (dry). 1/2 tsp apple pie spice. Mash 1 pear (peeled and cored) with cherries (in water), add sugar, spices, pectin, stir. Add extra sugar or spice to taste. Add dry tapioca. Prepare pie crust (I use Bon Appetite's recipe).
