After 11 years of owning our beloved Ford Escape, whom we affectionately called Grandpa Grey, we decided it was time to upgrade to a new-ish truck. Plus, it was registration renewal time, which usually means a few expensive repairs, and the AC had been kaput for 2 years. Poor Randy has been driving the Escape to and from work with no AC! Holland was super excited for it and practiced her songs and line every. single. day. She reminded us many times a day that her program was coming up so we wouldn't miss it. Once we arrived she waved and blew kisses like crazy. As usual I got a bit teary as I watched her proudly sing away. She really has a knack for performing, and loves to sing.

I was seriously banking on another little girl to be our family's caboose. Not to mention Owen had told us from day 1 that this baby was a sister. He was most definitely WRONG! Holland was devastated and immediately started crying when the gender was announced. He is healthy and growing, that's really all that matters. Me and My Cowboy.

The last 20 minutes the children would be outside singing so I planned to get there early and catch a little on video. I searched for both of my children's classes, but couldn't spot either one before the song began. Just as I turned off the recording, Holland's class came hurrying out the door as the end of the school song was being sung.
