What is botanical art: Needle painting with botanical theme. Botanical art ranges from very specific botanical illustration with tightly defined style and approach, through to artistic representation of fungi, flowers, seaweeds and all things botanical. Botanical artwork using embroidery/ needle painting is one of many approaches welcomed by the SSBA. Painting drop-in dates for 2017. Our regular Wednesday drop-in days, hosted at the Scottish Arts Club (24 Rutland Square, Edinburgh, EH1 2BW) were a great success last year, so we’ll keep up the good tradition in 2017! They are a great opportunity to meet fellow artists of all levels, swap tips while you work, and enjoy a good cuppa.
