Follow me on Twitter. Monday, May 28, 2012. Drag Racing Spring Creek. It's been almost two years since I had Firefly. In the water. After a hard week (plus one easy but LOUD night) I finally decided enough was enough and put Firefly back in the water. Approximately 4" of water. The flow rate was only 59 cfs. But I was hoping that was enough to paddle in. It wasn't, except in very rare occasions. Basically, I'd have to rate this as my WORTST ADVENTURE EVER! Before 4:30pm otherwise I'd have to carry Firefly.

Follow me on Twitter. Sunday, July 10, 2011. Building the life aquatic: rainwater harvesting and aquaponics in Houston. Work continues in my attempt to turn the Last Organic Outpost. Though if everything goes well we'll be growing fish and crabs instead of pigs. Future site of rainwater catchment and aquaponics systems. Step 1: tear down the interfering structure. Step 2: screw doing it by hand, hit it with the tractor! Step 3: move tanks into position. Each holds 1500 gallons. So now on to our aquaponics.
