With its white concrete structure, impressive length and illuminated glass railing this bridge is a true eye-catcher in the newly built Maasboulevard area in Venlo city. The arched supports are a subtle reminder of the city’s Roman heritage. Our design was one of two designs in the running for becoming Venlo’s new landmark. Located over the A28 motorway near the Assen TT racetrack, this bridge connects the A28 to both racetrack and existing regional transport network. The City Council envisioned a green entrance gate to the city. That’s why the sides of the bridge are covered in greenery. June 30, 2015. The slender white pedestrian bridge marking one of the entrances to the newly built Heidekamp Park in Stein, was recently opened to the public. Why make a dull crossing if there is room for a creative and fun solution? This bridge has two different pathways, one going down and one going up. Together, they form an attractive looking modern truss bridge. The steel structure is made out of box beams and has an especially smooth surface due to the use of a polyester filler commonly used on boats. Size: l=50 m w=4,3 m.
