Caroline's blog about life in Ireland! Thursday, July 23, 2009. Have you ever seen the Man from Aran anywhere? I think he's selling some typical goods from the Aran Islands, and as we've never been there before, I set out with a friend to explore these islands off Galway. We took a ferry there and then arrived in the sunshine on Inishmore (Irish: Árainn Mhór) (i.e. "Great Aran"), the biggest of the Aran Islands. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). Dublin LUAS Light Rail. Caroline's blog about life in Ireland! Sunday, September 20, 2009. Today, I'd like to tell you about something I've started in August: Swing Dancing. There's quite an active swing dancing community here in Dublin, and they're swingin' each Monday and Wednesday. I wouldn't have thought it was that much fun! To give you a little impression, just watch the video here: http:/ vimeo.com/1073031. And I'm not the best dancer ever, just did it for the fun. ;). Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). And here is a really nice tale from the site of the Irish Seal Sanctuary:. The Conneelys and the Seals. Young Conneely used to watch them ev...

Caroline's blog about life in Ireland! Wednesday, December 24, 2008. Hey everyone, I'd like to use the last day before Christmas for an information about Irish Christmas traditions. Merry Xmas to everyone! Ireland, like most countries, has a number of Christmas traditions that are all of its own.
