There are two sentiments that I see circulating dominant culture : one is that if we are not attending to. Then we are “making excuses” and the other stresses that if we don’t do something (be it yoga, visiting a friend, or eating our vegetables) it is just because that thing is “not a priority” for us. Here’s a story that can illustrate why. I pretty much stopped doing yoga over this time.

Whose bodies were part of “All Bodies” and whose bodies were left out? The gaps aren’t always as obvious as a flight of stairs. In February I went to a class that was described as an “accessible” class for all abilities. This summer, I was at a much beloved outdoor music festival where they offered small. Much of my practice is seated.
