Saturday, October 3, 2009. I really don't think there's any anxiety that matches a mother's anxiety for her child as they grow up and step out on their own. Wednesday, December 31, 2008. Wedding of the Century! Dave's cousin (Jon) and his. Fiance (Kimmy) got married Dec 28th. We've (especially Megan) been waiting for this day for SO long! We are just so in love with this couple! For a LONG time Megan has referred to Kimmy as "my friend Kimmy who's not my cousin yet but I hope she will be." As I carried a very sleepy flower girl out of the reception hall Sunday night, she whispered in my ear, "I can't believe Kimmy's REALLY my cousin now! We love you so much!

Tuesday, April 21, 2009. We have a whole bunch of family in the area, so we needed to spread Easter out over two weekends. It made for a much more relaxed holiday. Then we drove to Dave's grandparents' house to spend some time with them. Cousin Joey was there, so being with him seemed to take top priority. We had tasty leftovers for supper and tons of desserts. Sunday, November 1, 2009. Sadly, Nicholas came down with something on Friday. It's the flu or a bad cold, but not pneumonia. The doctor sent us to the hospital. For a chest x-ray to be safe, but that came back just perfect. Whatever it is, we're treating the symptoms and not letting. Him in public until he's better. Thursday, January 22, 2009. Scalera wins gold in 2020 Olympics! Maybe researching what cities are bidding for the 2020 Games is putting the cart before the horse, but Megan had a fantastic. Time at her very first gymnastics class today! We didn't know until we got there, but a little boy from her class at school started today as well. It was nice that they knew someone.
