A number of young fathers were interested in applying for a Perpetual Education Fund loan, having missed out because of the age limit of 30 years. We didn't see lines for parking until too late, so when the other two cars were also parked, we looked like clueless extranjeros, foreigners. This view from the front door looks out toward the Bahia San Vicente in the distance. Turning a little to the right, you could also see the Bahia de Concepcion. Between the two bays is a cell tower hill. The marina in the Bahia San Vicente. The marina at Coronel.

I was cleaning out the apartment- which was surprisingly full of stuff as small as it was- and Elder Kennington was in the process of selling our Outback with the help of Hno. Our Mission in Concepcion, Chile. Sunday, December 28, 2014. Christmas Week 2014 we attended two Christmas concerts, Sunday services at Barrio Nacimiento, and helped the senior office missionaries provide a Christmas dinner for all of the 250 young elders and sisters in the Concepcion Mission. We managed to sneak in a trip to Chillán's mercado central, and to the hamlet of Quinchamalí, known for its alfareria engreda negra, black clay pottery. Missionaries always add a note of enthusiasm to any choir.

We attended Barrio San Vicente in the Talcahuano North Stake, a warm, friendly ward. We made contact with several people who needed help with their PEF loans or were interested in a better education. The third weekend in November we headed for the District of Linares to visit two of the branches and give Self Reliance and Perpetual Education Fund informational meetings. The weekend was perfect for traveling. The fields were green, with the Andes mountains in the distance. Past Chillan, we saw rice fields and rice processing plants.
