De La Warr Pavilion: Towards an alternative history of graphic design: Suck, POP, bRIAN, Assembling. Now then, this exhibition was really energising as you can see below by the photos! At the De La Warr Pavillion, Bexhill. What's it about? This room could be viewed as a whole piece or you can look more closely at the art and writing which I did for quite a while.before I started leaping around. And why did it have this effect on me? On three sides the wall is lined with quirky and amusing concrete poetry...

jane pearrett: The Philosophy of Andy Warhol...

http://www.janepearrett.blogspot.com/2015/07/the-philosophy-of-andy-warhol.html

The Philosophy of Andy Warhol. My last post about Jeff Koons contained a quote by Andy Warhol which reminded me of this book which I read a couple of years ago. This morning I fished it out and it's entertaining me again but this time I'm just dipping in here and there. Andy's autobiography is quirky, funny and spot on regarding the themes of love, sex, food, beauty, fame, work, money, success and art. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Christian Marclay: Onomatopoea at White Cube Bermondsey. I found myself at the White Cube gallery a few weekends ago. I'm guilty of not seeing enough contemporary art as it's not my favourite kind of art even though I make art myself. Why? Luckily the music was very good though and didn't go on too long, which can be a problem when you're not comfortable. We've been at seated events before where the chairs were so punishing that we've left in the half time break; ridiculous I know but true. Here'...There...

jane pearrett: Grayson Perry at the Turner Contemporary...and a nice day out in Margate

http://www.janepearrett.blogspot.com/2015/07/grayson-perry-at-turner-contemporaryand.html

Grayson Perry at the Turner Contemporary.and a nice day out in Margate. Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, I do like to be beside the sea. A couple of weeks ago now on a Friday evening Robin said, "I really fancy going somewhere tomorrow for the day, it's going to be hot". So we thought of Margate. A few things helped us decide this: the relatively new Turner Contemporary, the newly opened Dreamland. Torturous. We weren't even cold when we came out because it was so hot on the beach.amazing! For a pr...

Only a bad artist thinks he has a good idea. A good artist does not need anything. Labels: Quotes and excerpts. New Work: Biomorphic Composition. Cork, oil, ink, graphite and styrene mirror on canvas. Grayson Perry at the Turner Contemporary.and a nice day out in Margate. Oh I do like to be beside the seaside, I do like to be beside the sea. And the fast train which now goes from St Pancras (which is handily close to where we live) plus remembering that it has a very big sandy beach. I want to go back wh...

Each person shown here are very close to me. They are either family or close friends. They all chose an object that has meaning to them. When reading a book, one gets transported into other worlds. I imagined what a reader could be picturing as they read the novels. Nobody is perfect. Neither are their bedrooms. A way of seeing somebody’s personality is by looking into the order and decorations of their private spaces. Commission for Creative i Marketing Company.

Jane Peart Artist Printmaker

Welcome to my website! I work mainly with copper-plate etching although I also have some of my pencil drawings on display here. I enjoy making images of animals, rural views and every day scenes, finding inspiration from my surroundings and the places I have visited on my travels. My aim is to evoke the atmosphere and feel of the scene, or the texture and personality of the animal I am drawing. Website updated 3rd September 2014.

Refletindo no estágio
