Saturday, April 21, 2012. Ankara, Turkey - An interesting trip. I had an opportunity recently to visit Turkey. I decided to take my new Holiday Wheel, River, with me. Since I anticipated having lots of time spin. That was not the case. But I did get to do some spinning in the airport in D.C. I also worked on another Walnut Whip by Ysolda. With my awesome 4-leaf clover. Stitch marker that a friend gave me! AND I was lucky enough to have a 10 hour layover. With ALL of the girls there were working. End and ...

Frogging Faster than a Speeding Bullet. Professional Procrastinator, at Your Service. July 11, 2014. So remember the other day when I said I was going to ride that wave of completion straight thru some of my many works in progress? Yeah, so… not really feeling it anymore. So instead of my cowl stuff, I grabbed a random project bag from the top of my yarn basket, assuming that if there was stuff a bag, it was something I needed to finish – it didn’t really matter what the project was. I still haven’...

Monday, June 11, 2012. Pike Place Market and Tour de Fleece. It's been pretty hectic lately. Looking forward to summer and hoping it'll be a relaxing one. We are in the long process of getting our first home and I cannot wait as the area is so much more quiet outdoors than our current place. I'm planning on spending a lot of quality time outdoors spinning, reading, even hope to be able to work while outdoors to soak up that tranquil nature! I love how it shimmers in the sun. A little over a month ago my ...

Saturday, March 24, 2012. First Finished Projects of the Year. My current projects have been taking me a lot more time than I had hoped. It's almost as if I'll never get any of them done, but I know given time they'll finally get finished. I felt like I needed some sort of quick knit fix to make myself feel better. so I could say HEY I finished something! Stash of Sock Yarn. Karree by Susanna Reese. Delicious Knee Socks by Laura Chau. Spot Check Sock by Beth Parrott. Spring Prairie by Sam Stevenson.

Speaking of stash, I took on Stitch Diva's Tunisian Crochet Stashbuster Blanket. Tunisian hook with extension is so nice to work with. I got started on my blanket and am thinking I might make some scarves like this for the fall. I ended up buying my Mom a hook for mother's day too. Here is a picture I took after the first day i worked on it:. I stopped by Bobbin's Nest. The lining is a made of a beautiful avacado green fabric which I adore! I'll leave you with some pictures of my "knitting jewelry" :).

Slinging Stitches . In Color! Wednesday, August 31, 2011. Wednesday on the Wheel: Life signs. Hey How you doing? It's me. I'm back, and not dead. Don't listen to the rumors. They're mean and vicious. So it's been a while since I posted, for which I truly apologize. I got overwhelmed by several things and then I caught a late summer headcold and .well, let's just say I'll be coughing for a while. But I'm alive and kicking and back to show you stuff. It is hand turned from brown ebony and it's gorgeous!
