A Glimpse of The Gambia: October 2008
http://gambiaglimpse.blogspot.com/2008_10_01_archive.html
A Glimpse of The Gambia. I'll be living in a small West African Country called The Gambia for a year. This is my experience. Sunday, October 26, 2008. After seeing the potential I am excited to move and be part of the compound. When we went into town last week I had my first experience with a guy who wanted my number so we could be "one love." He was so annoying, and I couldn't get rid of him. I'm not looking forward to that happening often. Stranger in a Strange Land. What is your name? Time is short- I...

Gambian Adventure: Enough
http://dollinafrica.blogspot.com/2010/07/enough.html
Thursday, July 1, 2010. Most days I feel like the women of MSC are going to do great when I'm gone, they'll continue on and have great success. Other days I realize there is still so much to teach them and I'll never fit it all in the time I have left. I fear that I didn't take the opportunities given to me to share Jesus with them. I think what if I'm the only way they will ever know and I didn't do enough? I hope and pray that God used me on some way that I have no understanding of. I LOVE YOU ALL!

Gambian Adventure: May 2010
http://dollinafrica.blogspot.com/2010_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 19, 2010. Tuesday, May 11, 2010. Nothing Is Ever Free. 8221;, “yes”, I said, “well then today it is free”, he said. I couldn’t argue with that. So like I said just when you think there are still things for free you get knocked down a bit and end up paying twice for the next thing. I still appreciate the gesture of the man at the auto shop but unfortunately the action of the attendants has put a damper on my outlook. Saturday, May 8, 2010. Inspecting the first one. Gambian Adventure: Baobab Powder for Drinking
http://dollinafrica.blogspot.com/2010/07/baobab-powder-for-drinking.html
Thursday, July 8, 2010. Baobab Powder for Drinking. These first two pictures are from the Internet as surprisingly I don't have good pictures on my computer of the tree or the inside of the fruit. The inside of the fruit is typically sold in the markets here from rice bags and you buy it by the can. Locally the people will dissolve the fruit in water and then remove the red fibers and seeds from the drink, add sugar and sometimes banana essence and then enjoy this refreshing drink. Learning Cambodia and (Re)Learning the United States. Learning in, learning about, learning from. Friday, October 30, 2009. Keys Are Important, Really. Long, long ago (okay, only a few months ago), I wrote a post about how I got locked out of my host family's house. Only I wasn't really locked out, I just thought I was. Well, this time it happened again. I got locked out of the house I should've been able to get in. Only this time, it was under different circumstances. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. Are tota...

Learning Cambodia & (Re)Learning the United States: November 2010
http://fatherseyes86.blogspot.com/2010_11_01_archive.html
Learning Cambodia and (Re)Learning the United States. Learning in, learning about, learning from. Monday, November 29, 2010. Saturday, November 20, 2010. Autumn, the season. These leaves were from around my house. And, without leaves in some locations, no one has to rake them. However, this yearly ritual occurs here multiple times this season. These images are from houses I noticed while walking near work. Or it's Khmer equivalent, "say how? Friday, November 5, 2010. I can finally say I've seen the Liber...
