Friday, July 1, 2011. My husband, at the age of 45, needed a hip replacement for a chronic hip condition. We were so very nervous about it all. Who wouldn't be? My husband is still healing, but doing very well. We still have a garden, but this year we are growing corn! I feel like such a farmer! Albeit a suburban one. Sometimes life gets really busy and lot of crazy things go on. But I feel so blessed to be where I am in life and to have such a wonderful family! My son playing center at football camp).

Monday, September 6, 2010. We have been so busy that I have all but forgotten about my blog. I thought I would give a garden update! We started off as lack luster but finally coming on; our bounty, our harvest! We have a bumper crop of cucumbers and our tomatoes are finally turning red. Plus we have plenty of Zukes and yellow squash. The carrots however are puny. For Halloween we have 3 pumpkins! We are still learning and next year will be expanding our garden by another 10 feet! Happy end of summer!

Dad brought her down to the tournament in time to see Jackson’s first goal, snuck down to Kennewick even though 2 hours was as far from the hospital as was allowed. Strange to see her out of the hospital at all. A change of plans, one might say. She spent 6 weeks in the ICU, most of which felt like one complication after another....
