October 30, 2010. You were starting to worry, yes, we are still alive. Just busy. Very, very busy. Here is what's been going on in our lives in the past two months. Working crazy hours, including most weekends in September. (I'm talking 60-70 hrs. per week here.) July 18, 2011. The hottest forester around! Take your daughter, wife and dog to work day :). Do you think Jack likes going to work with Joe? That's a lot of trees! And they're growing nice and big :). View of Coos Bay from Lone Rock's land. Jack excited for the beach! LOVE his crimpy ears and blonde eyelashes. August 10, 2012. Deck- Part I (Work in Progress). Our main house project this year was to build a deck. I wanted it, Luke and Joe built it. I thought it would make summer SO much more enjoyable. and I was right :) A "weekend project" turned into a 2 month ordeal, but this mama is happy and thankful with the way it turned out. Before we basically had a walkway for a deck. Maddie really wanted to help. Our little escape artist. Maddie's favorite new trick- clapping. Maddie watching Daddie at work.

November 20, 2011. A chance to breathe. After a few challenging, rewarding, and exhausting. I will highlight some of the "fun stuff" that we did get to enjoy, despite our hectic schedule. She now has TWO teeth, is eating solids, crawls, and laughs/"talks" to us all of the time. She is still super long (100 percentile in length), 65% in weight, and bald as a 90-year old man. That's ok, she's still adorable :). This adorable little lady joined the Simmons family in September and she is such a blessing!

Monday, August 06, 2012. Jude is 3 years old! Happy Third Birthday Jude. Has it been three years already? We celebrated Easter with my sisters and their families in Minnesota. Easter egg hunts, great food, laughter, baseball/tennis in the parking lot, playground time in intense wind.the list goes on. Everyone played baseball in the parking lot. The cousins let Jude use a tennis raquet instead of the bat to help him along (or speed up the game). Mowing the lawn with cousin Rita. Connor, Rita, and Jude.

Wednesday, March 18, 2015. Lilah's First Day on Two Wheels. So we pulled her bike out of the shed. After about 15 minutes of running alongside her in the neighbor's yard, she got it! By the end of our hour and a half outside, she was riding without stopping to the mailbox and back (1/2 mile round trip). I'm so proud I can feel it in my chest. She just kept trying and trying. Early on she said, "I'm not stopping till I get this". I'm so proud of Lilah! Here's a link to a little video of her. Scout, 7 weeks.
