Elise in Real Life: August 2012
http://leesiemac.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Sunday, August 19, 2012. Uganda: One Year Later. A year ago today was my last day in the beautiful country! Even though its hard to believe I actually made the trip there, I miss it every day. It has served as a constant reminder of the blessings I have in my life, and of the fact that I can do hard things! A couple weeks ago a friend who works for BYU radio asked me and a friend (Haley Glenn) if we could do an interview about our experience in Uganda. It was a blast! I had sex twice and I was told that ...

Elise in Real Life: October 2012
http://leesiemac.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Wednesday, October 3, 2012. Sometimes I wish that my lips could build a castle. but 99% of the time I wish they'd just fall off. AKA, why can't I just keep my big mouth shut? The past few days I have said many things that I have regretted, many things that were just stupid, and many things that people probably should have laughed at. but they didn't. HOOOOOLD on there buddy. Anyway, debate. These guys were just relentless, and I was all opinionated and hyped up. My red side was showing. Then our teacher ...

Sunday, December 23, 2012. Whirlwind Whimsical Wedding Weekend (AKA: "The Bittersweet"). A fore word: this picture is a summary of my life for the last 6 months (Don't take this too seriously, just laugh, because it makes me laugh too)(also, after I've written this, I've realized the foreword is really long, so you're more than welcome to skip to part two. I'll put it in bold. What the heck is that all about? That weekend, bum got married and there was Roy-family bonding including snails, pizza, noodles,...

Elise in Real Life: September 2013
http://leesiemac.blogspot.com/2013_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 14, 2013. The Shipleys in Real Life. I obviously haven't blogged since we've been engaged, and now as I am trying to put off doing my homework, it seems like an appropriate time. In two days, we will have been married for a month. Kind of crazy to think about. But also, just mostly wonderful. Before I got married, the phrases I always heard from people were, "Marriage is SO GREAT. You're going to love it" "You get to be with your best friend all day every day! What did I do wrong?

Elise in Real Life: June 2013
http://leesiemac.blogspot.com/2013_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 17, 2013. Matthew proposed to me eleven times. This is not a joke. It started out as a joke. but somehow, it happens that sometimes when I joke about things people take them seriously. This is one of those times. We knew we were going to get engaged for some time, but Matthew decided he wanted to get the ring custom made, and designed it himself. It took FOREVER (don't get me wrong. it was definitely worth the wait! Proposal #1: The Empire State Building. So we took the ridiculously fast ele...

Elise in Real Life: January 2013
http://leesiemac.blogspot.com/2013_01_01_archive.html
Wednesday, January 23, 2013. Last night I had the craziest dream! This is a true statement. Recently, I've been retelling my dreams, and it was suggested to me that I should keep a "Dream Journal." I feel like the only point of this would be to make myself laugh really hard, but this is a still a good reason, so I'll probably end up doing it. However, I'm an awful journal-keeper so today its just goin up on the blog. January 16, 2013. It's zedis lapidusly awesome! January 19, 2013. January 20, 2013.

Elise in Real Life: California!
http://leesiemac.blogspot.com/2012/12/california.html
Sunday, December 23, 2012. Once upon a time I went to California with my 2 best friends! And it was so great! We left around nine, and hit 4 different snow storms where we had to go less than half the speed limit, which was pretty miserable. At 2 am, Aaron and I switched, and he drove until we got to beautiful California! Brig just slept the whole time). Never in my life had I been so excited to get to that warm, sunny, beachful, blissful, second home of mine! It was so cool! Preston Hatch - Aaron Gillet...
