This is us having fun. Wednesday, December 24. I have been running now for about 3 months, not continuously of course. The dark nights make it quite difficult to keep motivated but I have been doing the 5K Parkrun on a Saturday morning and some indoor exercise's in the evening, just half an hour of light weights and stretching. Too keep thing moving I did a Santa run for charity, raising £130 so far and signed up for the 10K Balmoral run after Easter. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). I am a proud.

Friends of Carlotta: Autumn break 2014

This is us having fun. Friday, November 14. We spent a week of out October break in Northumberland, near to the coast. Met up with a couple of friends we hadnt seen for a few years, Alnwick Castle gardens. Visited a few little villages along that coast, doing a few geocaches in the areas, end of the day we had a walk around the foot of Bamburgh Castle. Had a full day on Lindisfarne, walking around most of it, again doing a few of the geocaches on there. Joseph Swan inverted the light bulb. I am a proud.

This is us having fun. Tuesday, October 28. So after the disappointment of Skye and a brief time back in Aberdeen, off again to the West coast and Assynt, much quieter here as was glad to find. I tried a new site over there, Clachtoll campsite. I didn't have much joy with the fishing around the camp site area itself but after a geocaching walk just outside Lochinver I tried my luck in the harbour, 18 mackerel in about 20 minutes and I nearly hooked a seal. This is us having fun. Sunday, June 14. Standing stones artworks in Montieth. Trouble with the van so we had to cut the weekend short. Took in a great bunch of urban caches around Dundee. As well as a bit of shopping. Stayed at Tayview campsite. At Monifieth and for once used public transport to get into town, which proved sensible. Still working on geotagging and finally got GpicSync to work properly, I like it due too its simplicity. Will continue to work with this program and Geosetter. I am a proud.

This is us having fun. Saturday, February 28. Geocaching what is it all about. Nearly two years ago, first it was something to do when out for a walk, now we go out for a walk to find a geocache or cache. This sport or game is now getting us fit, you need to be sometimes to keep it up, we walk for miles and up mountains to boot, but we are addicted. The October break brought us our 700th cache find, on a week trip to Northumberland, a return to Hayfield and back to see the kids on Teesside. This is us having fun. Thursday, August 27. Gathering in the Glens. The Craigs of Loch Brandy. 22nd of August 2009. Gathering in the Glens, is a geocaching event that been going on for a few years now in Glen Clova. We have only been going for the past two years but the event seems to be gaining in popularity and attendance. Its a wonderfull setting with lots of geocaches to be found, there is the opertunity to camp out which the kids will love, some people stay at Glen Clova hotel'. 22nd of August 2009.
