I tried to show hierarchy by using intensity of color and size. The shape of the map is influenced by the shape of the logo from the initiative. Improving Parking for Herron Community. Step 2 – Sense Making. November 12, 2010 in Actions. Visualization is one of the skills that distinguishes designers. Designers are concerned with creation. Designers use visual sense making to take what is and synthesize; thus creating something greater than the sum of the parts. After creating our initial diagram of string and cards,we all created our own synthesis of the facts. Then we discussed the diagrams and agreed upon key facts. The problem is stress levels.

Big wheels needed for stairs and shock absorbtion. Portfolio needs to be situated vertically and fastened to the cart. 4 wheels are useful. Swivel wheels are nice. We wanted to be people focused so we were looking for ways to generate ideas in their environments. We did not realize how difficult this would be. List brainstorming and paper brainstorming. We attempted to do this in the drawing 101 class room. We were given about 10 minutes of the class time to introduce the idea and execute.
