musings: Ponderings
http://judithannbrandonthomas.blogspot.com/2012/10/ponderings.html
Life as viewed by a gray-haired progressive liberal Christian grandmother who wildly loves her church, her family (especially the grandchildren)and books. Saturday, October 06, 2012. It seems that at my age, ponderings come so often; as I look back and forward. Today, I am pondering the early death of a friend at Otter Creek- Diana Reed. At 56, she was alive with energy, laughter, and service. Yet now, she is in heaven basking in the love of God and his reward for loyalty. FEEDJIT Live Traffic Map. A Day...

Life as viewed by a gray-haired progressive liberal Christian grandmother who wildly loves her church, her family (especially the grandchildren)and books. Tuesday, December 27, 2011. Dog Days After Christmas. Nope, not depressed. Just dog-sitting Cisco and Bear for a while. They are generally well-behaved except when Cisco is biting Bear's tail and getting retaliation. They received a Wii and the game Just Dance. It was SO fun to watch Sam perform the dances like a pro. His daddy would not perform. The f...

It's Sunday, the 14th of October 2012; Brandon, Sheryl and I just got back from Atlanta where the Zoe Conference was held. I can't believe it's been 21 years since that last night at Hendrick Hospital 5th floor where you died surrounded by us and many other loved ones. I miss you deeply tonight. FEEDJIT Live Traffic Map. Life as viewed by a gray-haired progressive liberal Christian grandmother who wildly loves her church, her family (especially the grandchildren)and books. Monday, April 16, 2012. Where joy and sorrow meet. The Zoe song refers the the cross; however, I had a weekend which meets the description too:. The Langfords and I then attended the funeral of Harold and Jeanette Lipford's daughter in Fulks Theater. Susan was one of a kind, and the funeral suited her- because she planned it during her dying days&#...

Life as viewed by a gray-haired progressive liberal Christian grandmother who wildly loves her church, her family (especially the grandchildren)and books. Friday, July 12, 2013. Why, then, do I find it so difficult to get rid or my own books? I do have a space problem- books are stacked on top of other books because there is no room on the shelves for them. Rhino Thoughts...: June 2005
http://rhinothoughts.blogspot.com/2005_06_01_archive.html
Monday, June 20, 2005. Blindingly Crazy Bathrooms In Virgina. This last weekend on my return from an unfortunate visit to Virginia, more on that in a moment, I had the most odd bathroom experience. It was probably the most poorly laid out public bathroom I’d ever been in but I won’t go into that. Posted by Ryan Williamson @ Monday, June 20, 2005. Sunday, June 05, 2005. It's been nearly a full year since I last wrote. I really do enjoy writing but I have to be in the right place for it. If things ...From ...
Rhino Thoughts...: July 2005
http://rhinothoughts.blogspot.com/2005_07_01_archive.html
Sunday, July 31, 2005. It happened again last night. It happens pretty much every night and every breakfast and lunch too. After ten minutes at the table Sydney will say she's not hungry any more but its clear very little eating has taken place. Often at dinner, especially if she's aware that any kind of desert will be served, she just skip the fake fullness exuse and go strait for the the "can I have desert now" move. Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 5
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-5.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Monday, May 10, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 5. Hoo-boy, what a long day. Then across the Capitol Mall to the Vietnam Veteran's Memorial - "The Wall." John and I had a special mission here. The son of a wonderful couple at our church died in Vietnam, and we wanted to find his name. With the help of a quick lookup on the Memorial's website, we got the location and found it rather quickly. I have to say that I was more affected by the m...
Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 4
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-4.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Sunday, May 09, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 4. First thing this morning was loading the bus, then breakfast, and then onto the bus for a 2-and-a-half hour drive to Philadelphia. I've been pretty impressed with the good behavior of this group of kids. There is the occasional need to calm one or two of them down, but they're showing a lot of respect to the teachers and adults on the trip, so it's been good. I'm glad I brought my Z-Coil.
Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 8
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-8.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Thursday, May 13, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 8. I was about to write something about a light schedule today, but it's mostly because we had a two-hour bus ride from D.C. to Gettysburg. But I get ahead of myself. Our first tour stop today was the American History Museum of the Smithsonian. It was definitely worth seeing! 8226; The C-3PO costume that Anthony Daniels wore in some of the "Star Wars" movies. 8226; Best of all, KERMIT!
Mental Lint: Historical Studies Tour - Day 9 and Wrap-up
http://timcastle.blogspot.com/2010/05/historical-studies-tour-day-9-and-wrap.html
Whatever comes out of my brain when the wind blows hard enough. Sunday, May 16, 2010. Historical Studies Tour - Day 9 and Wrap-up. Our last day of the trip was a very long one, including about 7 hours on planes, and not all of that in the air.We had an early wakeup call, about 5:45. After the great hotel in Maryland, the one we were at in Gettysburg was a bit of a letdown, but at least we slept well. In Lancaster County, known as Amish Country. Our lunch was at a great smorgasbord, and then we picked...
Westerman's World: June 2009
http://amywesterman.blogspot.com/2009_06_01_archive.html
A weekly look at Amy's life as a stay-at-home mom with her children, Luke and Caroline. Saturday, June 20, 2009. ZOE Kids- "A New Hallelujah". We have always wanted to get our kids into the studio with us, and we finally did it Thursday night! In Michael W. Smith's "A New Hallelujah" there is a verse that he did with an African children's chorus. We thought this would be a great chance to have our kids make their singing debut. Most of them weren't even born when ZOE began back in 1997.

On-line therapy for a guy who needs a place to say outloud some of the wacky things inside his head about his life as a creative, Christian, father, husband and friend. Monday, February 28, 2005. I'm sorry. I don't mean to reject or demean God's creation or His sovereign wisdom and will. I understand that He has His reasons and they are CLEARLY higher than mine. However, I see absolutely no good reason for us to get more snow this morning! I say snow- NO! Put it in a tightly sealed container and store it...
