Wednesday, February 9, 2011. And one year later - we're in our house. Not even a broken hand can keep Gary from trying out his Christmas present. He doesn't have a man cave, but did get a man aerie in the bonus room above the garage. I will include a few pictures here, but most of the rooms are still embarrassingly cluttered so I am just posting a few where we have been able to hide our boxes and strewn paper. February 9, 2011 at 5:35 PM. It looks great. Hope we get to visit sometime.

Sunday, April 10, 2011. So much news - so little time to devote to this blog post. Joseph Scott was born in March 29 and we couldn't be happier. Both sets of grandparents were in Ohio for the birth so the whole family was able to welcome him into the world. He looks so much like Julia who, by the way, is being a wonderful big sister. Busy Day Chocolate Cake. Busy Day Chocolate Cake. Mix with a whisk in 8x8 square pan:. 1 1/2 cups flour. 3 Tbsp cocoa powder. 1 tsp baking soda. 1/4 cup vegetable oil (I used olive oil because it's what I had). 1 Tbsp vinegar, white (I used apple cider because it's what I had). Mix with wisk or spatula. Bake 350 degrees for 30-40 minutes. Frost with simple frosting (confectioner sugar, milk and vanilla) or just dust with powdered sugar! Posted by Elizabeth - Skypiedesigns. A Moment of Gratefulness. This morning as Gunner and I went for a run, I was struck by how WONDERFUL life is. Right now, in this moment, I want to take time to pause and feel grateful for the love and light that fills my days. First of all, I am lucky to be home on this Friday morning because my "full-time" job where I teach kids one-on-one is only four days a week.that means I ALWAYS get a three day weekend. What a blessing in helping me balance work and home. I am so thankful that I live where I live!

I spent the weekend sick with a bad cold but one of the good things about laying low for a weekend is that I had a chance to read a book!
