Regina Bibliotheca: Review--The Whites by Richard Price (Harry Brandt--non-pseudonym pseudonym)
http://reginabibliotheca.blogspot.com/2015/05/review-whites-by-richard-price-harry.html
Monday, May 4, 2015. Review- The Whites by Richard Price (Harry Brandt- non-pseudonym pseudonym). I picked up this novel, because I was intrigued by a NY Times piece. I was prepared to be pretty scathing, but I will say that I found The Whites. Will he choose moral high ground, or revenge? When does the end justify the means, or does it ever? A chance, regardless of the pretentious hype, or perhaps in spite of it. Posted by Robin Henry. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Invisible Web Google Site. On or...

Regina Bibliotheca: Summer Reading
http://reginabibliotheca.blogspot.com/2015/08/summer-reading.html
Tuesday, August 4, 2015. I have been doing some reading, so I thought I would share. World War II spy thriller, light on the thrills, starring a half fictional half-British actress who loves Germany, but hates what the Nazis are doing to it. Her profession allows her access to the high echelons of Nazi society, which she uses to gather intelligence. Of course, there are a couple of brief romantic entanglements, some nail-biting, and the British agent who got away. By Lucy Sykes and Jo Piazza. What I got ...

So, what happens now? We have already gotten some results from students, and I am very curious how their top five will compare with what faculty say. Here are the top five needs as identified by students:. Using note taking apps or taking notes online. Using spreadsheet software for graphing or visuals. Myth ...

Regina Bibliotheca: Book History from A to Z: Q is for Quarto
http://reginabibliotheca.blogspot.com/2015/03/book-history-from-to-z-q-is-for-quarto.html
Tuesday, March 3, 2015. Book History from A to Z: Q is for Quarto. A quarto was made by folding the paper or vellum twice into four leaves or eight pages. It would have been roughly half the size of a folio. In this photo, the largest volume is a folio ( folded once- if you recall an earlier post about that). The second largest is a quarto.
