http://libwriter.blogspot.com/2015/06/landline-audiobook-review.html
The writing life for librarians and other book lovers. Sunday, June 21, 2015. July 8, 2014. Listening copy via public library. Is still crazy popular, and maybe one day it'll be in the library long enough for me to check it out. In the meantime, I listened to the audiobook of Landline. Isn't YA, although an argument could be made that it's New Adult since a good portion happens in flashbacks when the main character, Georgie McCool, is in college. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). The Librarian Writer: Book Review Policy
http://libwriter.blogspot.com/p/book-review-policy.html
The writing life for librarians and other book lovers. I only review books I read from cover to cover. Sometimes, for whatever reason, I do not finish a book. It seems fair to me not review books I've only partially read. As a librarian, I try to figure out read-alikes and what kind of reader would enjoy the book. If you are a publisher and would like to send me an ARC, you can contact me here. Subscribe to: Posts (Atom). View my complete profile. Eden West Book Review. Monica Zepeda's favorite books.

The Librarian Writer: Mort(e) Book Review

The writing life for librarians and other book lovers. Sunday, July 12, 2015. January 20, 2015. ARC provided by publisher. I, for one, welcome our new insect overlords.". Was an ARC I picked up at last summer's ALA Annual Conference and I finally found the time to read it. I was intrigued by its animal apocalypse premise: superintelligent ants bring sentience to animals, who rise against humans in "the war with no name." A neutered housecat, Sebastian, becomes a soldier and possibly a messiah. Monica Zep...

The Librarian Writer: July 2015
http://libwriter.blogspot.com/2015_07_01_archive.html
The writing life for librarians and other book lovers. Sunday, July 26, 2015. Exquisite Corpse Book Review. May 5, 2015. ARC provided via NetGalley. Fun fact: "Exquisite Corpse" was a game invented by Surrealists where a piece (of art, of literature) was constructed by each participant adding to what the earlier participant had created. This French import by graphic novelist Penelope Bagieu plays with that conceit in Exquisite Corpse. Sunday, July 12, 2015. January 20, 2015. ARC provided by publisher.

http://libwriter.blogspot.com/2015/01/carter-finally-gets-it-audiobook-review.html
The writing life for librarians and other book lovers. Sunday, January 25, 2015. Carter Finally Gets It Audiobook Review. Carter Finally Gets It. April 7, 2009. I listened to this as part of Sync's audio summer promotion. Yeah, it took me awhile to get to it). But it was pretty damn funny. The school year passes by through the sports Carter plays (or tries to play) and the girls he dates (or tries to date). There really is not much of a plot except how Carter tries to survive his freshman year. Why White...
