Other Side of the World. A SEMESTER SPENT TWO HEMISPHERES AWAY, IN MADAGASCAR. Thursday, October 28, 2010. Anja and Lemur Cattas galore. Our second stop along our roadtrip was Anja, which is a community managed protected area. We only spent one night there, it was a pretty nice little campsite with little shelters under which we could set up our tents. There was a great view with these dramatic rock formations(mountains? Monday, October 25, 2010. I'll try and write more soon. In the town near Isalo.

Tuesday, January 22, 2013. Random thoughts and moments (1). Looking back on things I have written, I've been trying to keep up with the overall experience, the big events and moving from place to place. Yet I feel like there are so many small details, day-to-day moments that I've missed and will try to catch up on a few of them here. Dia mahafinaritra it is enjoyable. Back to Madagascar...: Southbound! Adventure in the Southeast
http://projecthfm.blogspot.com/2013/01/southbound-adventure-in-southeast.html
Thursday, January 10, 2013. Adventure in the Southeast. Train Station in Manakara, one of the only rail networks in the country connecting Fianarantsoa and Manakara. Near the Taxi-brousse Station. It looks like a real road on the map. Kilometer Marker for "Vang". Another usage for large vehicles-clothes line- spotted while waiting at the station. In the end we left the taxi-brousse station at about 1pm the next day, after a lot of time waiting. Unlike the roads further North, south of Vangaindrano, were ...
Back to Madagascar...: August 2012
http://projecthfm.blogspot.com/2012_08_01_archive.html
Wednesday, August 8, 2012. It’s pretty obvious that I fell behind on blogging a bit, I don’t know quite where to start… but how about some stories about the village where I’m now living? Supplies needed for living in a Malagasy village? Beyond our bed, pillows, a stove and a few dishes we’re able to borrow, the essentials include: buckets (used for water uses everything from showers, cooking, washing dishes, and drinking), a basin to wash dishes, pots for cooking rice and loka. With all of these it’...

Back to Madagascar...: October 2012
http://projecthfm.blogspot.com/2012_10_01_archive.html
Tuesday, October 23, 2012. Deja vu, back in Tulear. Mango stand in Mangily. Also, had a strange experience of deja vu, running into the group of SIT students doing the same program I had done exactly 2 years ago, and repeating all of the same experiences; same bus, same restaurants, same staff. It was great to see some of the program staff from when I was in Madagascar 2 years ago, and was happy to be recognized by them. Vezo children playing with miniature pirogues at low tide. Even the difficult-to-fin...

Creating an "affiche" advertising free English course. Well its been a while. I don’t really know where to start. How about now? One of the rainy days in Anosimparihy. My English class of 3ieme.
