Flickering Cursor, The: March 2010
http://flickeringcursor.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html
Saturday, 20 March 2010. It’s become fashionable to deride reality shows. And, going by what little I see of them on screen, I’d say mostly deservingly so. Until, amidst the entire melee, I chance upon the actual performances. All talent we managed to get was to write codes, or copy, or legal letters or whatever. Some of us can even roll our tongues sideways. Really? Here’s your trophy. It’s a win-win situation for all. EXCEPT YOU. Posted by Flickering Cursor. Links to this post. The India Uncut Blog.

Flickering Cursor, The: The Curse of µ
http://flickeringcursor.blogspot.com/2011/01/curse-of.html
Tuesday, 11 January 2011. The Curse of µ. I used to be a keen believer of the permanent age. Theory; having nicely settled into the late 20s for long. Turns out, it was a myth. Ceaseless erosion has caused the brain to lose a few wrinkles (only to reappear under the eyes). The attrition has had less to do with declining intelligence, rather lesser fuck-giving. Reading, exploring, the pleasure of learning something new – everything has given way to a meek surrender to the Maslow’s triangle....It probab...

Wieden+Kennedy 12: BALO! Get it? No? Well, I'm not saying it.
http://wktwelve.blogspot.com/2009/10/balo-get-it-no-well-im-not-saying-it.html
Thursday, October 1, 2009. Well, I'm not saying it. Alright, folks. Enough of us and food and fun and whatever other nonsense is on this blog. You wanna see what we've been busting our asses doing for the past two months? Well, here it is:. Beth thinks she's so cute. And she's right. What do you think this is? The damn buttons, that damn sandwich, and those damn bookmarks. Powell's window pt. 1. Powell's window pt. 2. Wordstock Grand Central bread bag, aka Beatrice's baby. New Seasons floor sticker.

Diamonds and Rust
http://lostlittlegirrl.blogspot.com/2009/06/do-watch-revolutionary-road-if-you-want.html
Monday, June 15. We all think endlessly of this dream because we all consider ourselves special. Different. Other than the rest, who will not lose themselves in the larger scheme of the world and keep idealism within touching distance. We had progressive political thought, had an opinion on everything, we will surely do something other than just be. Now I am tempted to watch it. But dreaming of doing something in the future surely cant be attributed to drunken conversations in college. There are a fe...

Flickering Cursor, The: A walk-on part in a cage.
http://flickeringcursor.blogspot.com/2010/05/walk-on-part-in-cage.html
Saturday, 22 May 2010. A walk-on part in a cage. Years ago, you made a choice. Against the current; against the grain; staring right into the sun. Putting on your rebel shades. Flaunting your mutinous tattoo. Walking straight down the Floydian path. Posted by Flickering Cursor. I relate to this. 24 May 2010 at 18:18. And it was so much more comfortable to sip your old monk and go with the flow. 28 May 2010 at 18:31. Tx for dropping by. Curious about the name though. WHY? 1 June 2010 at 11:44.

Flickering Cursor, The: October 2009
http://flickeringcursor.blogspot.com/2009_10_01_archive.html
Saturday, 31 October 2009. Again And lovin’ it. The 5th edition of the most awesomely cool, mind-numbingly addictive, and kick-assingly challenging quiz is back. Think clues hidden in page sources, in urls, in gif file names. Infinitely geek-worthy, and then some. I have been hooked on to this online game since its 1st season. Side note: Managed to get on their Hall of Fame in the 1st season, back in ’05 (#481). Though cracking each edition hence, haven’t been able to be in the early bird list). Machinis...

Flickering Cursor, The: September 2009
http://flickeringcursor.blogspot.com/2009_09_01_archive.html
Thursday, 24 September 2009. Whoa There’s that Beamer. Used to dream of it. Not anymore. Life’s been good without it. I can hear the chimes. It’s six already? Always thought there’d be more to it. Just go with the flow, I guess. Friends are great. Friends kick you in the butt when you’re wrong. Or, even, sometimes when you’re not. But that don’t matter. They’re friends, at the end of the day. I still love him. I think I know why he did it. I probably deserved it. Where are the flashes? Yeah You start off...

Flickering Cursor, The: No manjhe naahi
http://flickeringcursor.blogspot.com/2011/02/no-manjhe-naahi.html
Sunday, 20 February 2011. Location: Comm. Street signal (seems to be a jinxfully eventful place for me). I'm on my bike w/family. Cops doing their drunken-driving-check routine. I was clean, so didn't have much to worry about. One cop stops us, comes near. Of course he doesn't have the breathalyzer. Gets kissing distance to my face, and asks. Cop sniffs; grins a bit, shakes his head, and walks away. I immediately realize what I just said. And ride away without telling the wife what (really) happened.

Flickering Cursor, The: Reality v/s Realism. Or why the Oscars are going to disappoint.
http://flickeringcursor.blogspot.com/2010/02/realism-vs-reality-or-why-oscars-are.html
Monday, 15 February 2010. Reality v/s Realism. Or why the Oscars are going to disappoint. This post is about movies; fairly recent ones. Spoilers will be thrown around. All of the four and half people who read my blog are hence forewarned. Making a whole movie to justify your opening quote about war being addictive is a bit of an overkill Ms. Bigelow/Boal. It defeats me why this movie has so unanimously scored with critics everywhere. Should: Quentin Tarantino (Oh, yes). Will: Katherine Bigelow ( shudder.
