The Notebook: December 2007
http://meghansnotebook.blogspot.com/2007_12_01_archive.html
Pop Cultural Observations from the Left Coast. Friday, December 21, 2007. I can't say that starting the blog directly led to any of these changes. But maybe it made me a little more optimistic, or changed my perspective and helped me to look at my world in a slightly different way. Sometimes when you don't know what to do, it's best to just do SOMETHING. I have a real affection for my humble little corner of the Internet. And I can't wait to see to where 2008 takes us! The Notebook: February 2008
http://meghansnotebook.blogspot.com/2008_02_01_archive.html
Pop Cultural Observations from the Left Coast. Friday, February 15, 2008. For one of my grad school classes, I'm working on an article about Generation Y and why those of us in our twenties seem to have trouble becoming fully functioning grown-ups. (I'm sure my interest in this topic has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that I'm turning 27 this week and am currently in the throes of a raging quarter-life crisis. But more on that later.). Thanks, and Happy Friday! Monday, February 04, 2008. It was s...

The Notebook: September 2007

Pop Cultural Observations from the Left Coast. Thursday, September 20, 2007. As Time Goes By. Matt and I were 18 when we met, which I admit is a ridiculous age to meet the person you're going to end up spending your life with. And what a ride it's been. Labels: Slice of Life. The Notebook: The San Francisco Treat
http://meghansnotebook.blogspot.com/2008/07/san-francisco-treat.html
Pop Cultural Observations from the Left Coast. Monday, July 07, 2008. The San Francisco Treat. I Am In. Love. I had thought, nay was sure, that I had found my one true soul mate in Boston. But, suddenly and unexpectedly, another has come in to my life and I can't deny my feelings any longer. Yes, it is true. I went to San Francisco for the first time this past weekend and I am smitten. San Francisco swept me off my feet. (Almost literally, since it is quite windy there). We spent our far too short time i...

The Notebook: Bats and Wolves and the Apocalypse (Oh My!)
http://meghansnotebook.blogspot.com/2008/07/bats-and-wolves-and-apocalypse-oh-my.html
Pop Cultural Observations from the Left Coast. Monday, July 21, 2008. Bats and Wolves and the Apocalypse (Oh My! There's been a bit of belt tightening around the old homestead these days, a condition that has opened my eyes to how much life in this city revolves around spending money. Turns out all there really is to do in L.A. is eat and shop and drink, which means there aren't a whole lot of options when you're trying to conserve money (and gas) by cutting back on these delightful pastimes. In concert&...

The Notebook: June 2008
http://meghansnotebook.blogspot.com/2008_06_01_archive.html
Pop Cultural Observations from the Left Coast. Wednesday, June 04, 2008. The second trip was to Chicago, which was actually pretty exciting because I grew up just outside of the city and was able to work in some time to spend with my family and friends. I also got to stay in a hotel right downtown for free. But then, of course, there is this. And if I didn't live in Los Angeles, I would not have ended up sitting two rows in front of Screech from Saved By The Bell. Labels: I Love L.A. This is how it works.

The Notebook: XOXO
http://meghansnotebook.blogspot.com/2008/05/xoxo.html
Pop Cultural Observations from the Left Coast. Wednesday, May 21, 2008. After watching the season finale of Gossip Girl. On my resurrected TiVo (it lives, yay! And after long and serious consideration I have come to a conclusion: I don't quite get the hype about this show. So why can't I fully get on board with Gossip Girl. I'm not sure if it's due to my advancing age, my evolving taste, or simply the fact that the show is not that good. I'm inclined to think it's probably a combination of all three.

The Time of My LIfe: February 2010
http://unpredictably-jaxmom.blogspot.com/2010_02_01_archive.html
Wednesday, February 24, 2010. That Which Doesn't Kill Us. Makes us Stronger. Right? I love Chris. I love Jackson. I love my job. But between the three of them, I may go completely insane over the next month. We met with the Church Lady. I need to stop calling her that. She was nice. She was optimistic, and she said she would give us a wedding date when the annulment process was headed to Chicago, not when it comes back, which is bending the rules a little bit. I talked to him last night. I talked to ...

The Throwing of a Conniption. The Ride of a Lifetime. Categories: FOs and UFOs. The pains started Monday night. I was asleep and I had to get up thinking I needed to use the bathroom. Blearily, I struggled out of bed and tried to obey the pain’s demands but it didn’t work. So I went back to bed thinking if I laid down again it would go away. Or if I went back to sleep then maybe I could sleep through it. That was six years ago yesterday. After thirteen hours of labor, our son made his first appearanc...
