Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry

Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry. Thursday, November 18, 2010. This poem was a stream of consciousness that I did on wind. There is some symbolism for what the wind is. Standing so still, the earth around you. Below cars race by beneath you. The wind brushes past you. Brushing against your face. The wind blowing your hair around in its dance. You feel a whisper in your ear. You feel in your heart, your mind. A weight is gone, but something new is there. A sense of knowledge. Giving all you have to the wind.

Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry: January 2010

http://www.kelseyisnowapoet.blogspot.com/2010_01_01_archive.html

Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry. Tuesday, January 19, 2010. It licks at your fingers. You know this is dangerous. They might find you. You ran away and you aren't going back. Your feet hurt from running, your hands are black with your past. But you won't go back. You are going forward, up. But for now you are down here. Waiting by the fire. All the emotions seem to melt away. Tempting you to give in, but you won't. Thursday, January 14, 2010. Do you feel it? Overcoming your every emotion. Do you feel it?

Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry: Field

http://www.kelseyisnowapoet.blogspot.com/2010/10/field.html

Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry. Thursday, October 21, 2010. Conductor of an orchestra. A place that can bloom without worries. Just the rhythm of life. Standing at the top of the hill. Being a part of it. Across the top of the field. Is this the field of dreams? A place to relax. The wind slows down and the grass stops moving. The world is silent. Single moment where nothing is happening. Yet it is not. A whole other world. The wars do not stop for a field dancing in the wind. I am paused, stopped.

Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry: Love?

http://www.kelseyisnowapoet.blogspot.com/2010/03/love.html

Kelsey's Poetry Blog of Poetry. Friday, March 12, 2010. Love is never easy, and leaves so many unanswered questions. These questions though, you have to find out for yourself. It is a feeling unlike any other. I have yet to feel it. But I have heard. That it wells up inside you. Trying to break free. To earn the freedom it deserves. Yet each time is still the same. You cannot give it a schedule. Yet you heart jumps everytime. You never know what. But the feeling and knowledge. I just might be.

Kelsey's essays: December 2009

http://kelseysessays.blogspot.com/2009_12_01_archive.html

Monday, December 21, 2009. A Tree Grows in Brooklyn. Death is something that has occured in my life, leaving many challenges, yet new opportunities. Yet, even with the sadness, I learned that something good will always come out of something bad. Life goes on, sadness will not stay, and love will last forever. Monday, December 7, 2009. Tuesday, October 27, 2009. With everyone's busy schedules, when should we make time to celebrate those who fought for our freedom? Every day, people forget those friends an...

Wednesday, February 24, 2010. The Reign of Fear. An essay to The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. Many people live with fear in their lives. They let their fear of something control them, for example, if they are afraid of spiders, it may be hard for them to do things that require contact with a spider. Subscribe to: Post Comments (Atom). Kelsey's essays: Edgar Allan Poe

http://kelseysessays.blogspot.com/p/edgar-allan-poe.html

This story is about a man with a love for animals. He soon gets a black cat with his wife and shortly starts to have major mood swings. His anger is towards the cat and he eventually kills the cat but the short story takes an ironic swing. I had wondered why he was so upset with the cat and this is what I thought of. Everybody has a weakness which they wish to hide; a soft spot in their heart that holds a fondness. In the short story The Black Cat. He had many pets as a child. Edgar Allan Poe's main char...

Wednesday, June 29, 2011. Friday, June 3, 2011. At the end of the year. Authors note: This closure piece is a reflection over the past two years I have been in middle school with Mr. Johnson. As much as I look forward to high school, part of me wishes I could stay in middle school just for the sake of still having Mr. Johnson as my English teacher. As cliché as it sounds, it is difficult to see how my two years of middle school. Have passed by so quickly. I had Mr. Johnson now. So now as I look forward t...

Kelsey's Blog: Finally Truth

http://kelsey-kesl.blogspot.com/2011/04/finally-truth.html

Sunday, April 17, 2011. Authors note: This poem represents all the lies that had been told to Truman. There are two quotes that the director of the show said in the movie that showed his need for control over the show and Truman. I incorporated both of them into the poem. Also, the last line was not spoken in the movie, but it seemed as though it should be assumed. O're the ocean he traveled to see. That which had made him what he be. That which has almost been his death. Of all the lies ever was told.

Kelsey's Blog: September 2010

http://kelsey-kesl.blogspot.com/2010_09_01_archive.html

Wednesday, September 1, 2010. This summer, I went to Illinois with my family to see my cousin get married. The wedding was beautiful, and my cousin, Nick, and his bride-to-be, Katie, seemed so happy. It got me wondering about how much effort is put into a wedding, but more importantly, what are the bride and groom going through. The crowd waiting through the doors. The tears running down your cheeks. The man you love standing at the aisle. The crowd in front of you. Attempting to stay strong.

Thursday, April 21, 2011. Author's note: I tried to write this poem in french just to see how hard it was. Below it is a translation. Avec les feuillages des coleur brilliant. Et arbes des verte terre. Je regarde le mou et belle saison. Devenis le froid hiver. With the leaves of bright color. And trees of green earth. I watch the soft and beautiful season. Kelsey's Blog: March 2010

http://kelsey-kesl.blogspot.com/2010_03_01_archive.html

Thursday, March 25, 2010. Orphaned at age 12. Death is never an easy obstacle to get over. Right when you think the pain is gone, it comes right back. This is in the view of an ignorant, yet curious, twele year old boy. He still has yet to get over the loss of his five dead family members. Owen, get your bags and keep moving, otherwise you will not get any supper," snapped my caretaker, though she still has yet to realize the weight of a dead family. Saturday, June 5, 2010. Wow When I left Spain, I had no idea that it would take this long to write my next blog. I actually planned on doing it one of my first days home! Thursday, May 21, 2009. So it's my last day in Rome. Ew, I just got nauseous after typing that sentence. The fridge is emptied. The apartment is clean. And it really isn't helping that Mae is playing "The Freshman" by the Verve Pipe right now. . Okay, now it's "Bittersweet Symphony" by The Verve. Is this a joke? Did she make a "Make Kelsey sad on her last day in Rome" playlist? As if this situation wasn't hard enough. Ok, let's get down to it:. Things i WON'T miss about Rome:. Nuns they're everywhere&#46...
