Saturday, August 21, 2010. Kites in the Mist. Scott, Hannah, Antonio and I decided to get away to the beach last Monday. It was hot here, and we just needed to find somewhere cooler. Since it is Kite Festival week at Long Beach, away we went. :). Little did we know, but Long Beach was completely covered in fog! It was so nice needing a sweatshirt for the first time in awhile. We ate yummy food, did some shopping and sat on the beach. Fun! No one is safe- she wiped that smile right off her dad's face!

Wednesday, September 16, 2009. Wishing and hoping and praying and wishing. Isn't that kind of how the song goes? I am typing this from Jared's laptop. Our computer has been fried (literally- Hannah and I smelled and saw smoke! And we are awaiting the arrival of our new Dell within the next week or so. I cannot wait (thus the wishing and hoping)! Our dependable Gateway served us well for 5 years, but it was definitely time to update. Nothing like a cooked motherboard to encourage that! Love that big drop!

The weather was just beautiful - high 70's and only a little humid. It was also very busy! Space Ship One, the first private space plane to reach outer space. Kate had to be at school at 7am in her cheerleading outfit with the rest of her squad to greet all of the students to the Junior/Senior High.
