The Life of Young Fences: November 2006

The Life of Young Fences. The people who love them, the materials that create them, and posts that keep them standing. Thursday, November 30, 2006. Fi says Fi. :-). After many efforts of mama telling Fiona her name, she finally has grasped it. No thanks to ma or pop. One of her friends, AAAH (as she calls him) kept saying Fi! To her her and so she started repeating it back to him. They would look at each other a scream Fi! If you miss it here, it is also up under links on the right (I want to start my da...

SwingDaddy: June 2006
http://swingdaddy.blogspot.com/2006_06_01_archive.html
Friday, June 30, 2006. Catching Up with Bud. In the afternoon, we got a video call in to one set of grandparents. They hadn't seen Bud in a while, and really enjoyed playing with him. They have a couple of picture books that they read to him, and also enjoy playing peek-a-boo, and 'point to a facial feature'. They demonstrated patty-cake for Bud, who watched very carefully. I suspect he'll be able to do that tomorrow. Posted by Mazurka @ 11:46 PM. Thursday, June 29, 2006. Chika Chika Boom Boom. In a clev...

SwingDaddy: April 2006
http://swingdaddy.blogspot.com/2006_04_01_archive.html
Sunday, April 30, 2006. I woke with Bud at about 7:30 this morning. He was in good spirits when I picked him up from his room, but got very concerned when he discovered our houseguest, my good friend Rob, set up in his playroom. Bud stared at Rob for about a half hour before having his morning milk. It was probably another hour or so before Bud started playing with Rob around. Posted by Mazurka @ 11:56 PM. Saturday, April 29, 2006. A Very Busy Day. When they got home, Bud was asleep in the car for his se...

SwingDaddy: March 2006
http://swingdaddy.blogspot.com/2006_03_01_archive.html
Friday, March 31, 2006. The weather, of course, isn't helping. I heard that in the Bay Area a record was broken this month which had been in place since 1904 for the number of rainy days in March: the new record is 25. Ugh. That being said our nanny got Bud out for a walk this morning before the rain started coming down again, which he seemed to enjoy. Posted by Mazurka @ 11:56 PM. Thursday, March 30, 2006. Feeling Better, But Not All Well Yet. Yesterday morning Bud went with Mommy and Nanny to a Sunnyva...

The Life of Young Fences. The people who love them, the materials that create them, and posts that keep them standing. Wednesday, August 30, 2006. Well, I'm back (Daddy Fence, that is), attempting to fill in the large shoes (metaphorically speaking, of course) of our esteemed author. Fiona is still very cute and happy. The house is coming along nicely, and we've had our hands full trying to find a place for everything (I keep suggesting the garbage, but I digress.). Move Day minus 4-8 days: While we were...

The Life of Young Fences. The people who love them, the materials that create them, and posts that keep them standing. Monday, July 31, 2006. Like mother; like daughter. I guess she does take after me in ways. However, not in the PJ department - man, I guess I got dressed for sleeping in the dark. Or at least that's my story and I am sticking to it. AND PS. - Happy Birthday To Aunt Chris - who is going to get her card any day now. Happy, Happy Birthday to You! Posted by YF @ 10:27 AM. Links to this post.

SwingDaddy: November 2006
http://swingdaddy.blogspot.com/2006_11_01_archive.html
Thursday, November 30, 2006. I arrived home this evening at about 6:00pm. M-lady hadn't quite gotten home from work, so Bud and Nanny J greeted me at the door. Bud actually didn't seem terribly excited. I got a couple of smiles, but he was really into playing with the pan he was holding. I moved the case to our room so I could unpack it, and Bud pushed at it again: "Too heavy! It's pretty neat that he's applying multiple adverbs. Posted by Mazurka @ 9:48 PM. SwingDaddy: May 2006
http://swingdaddy.blogspot.com/2006_05_01_archive.html
Wednesday, May 31, 2006. A Highly Modified Schedule. I immediately went out to get the appropriate key made. Bud took his second nap pretty late in the day; I think he slept from about 3:00 to 4:30ish or so. In the evening, he was really tired, but after dinner we all hung out as a family and read books and played and wrestled and generally had a good time. He was very ready for bedtime when 7:45 rolled around, though. Posted by Mazurka @ 11:56 PM. Tuesday, May 30, 2006. I cracked a bottle of gatorade.

SwingDaddy: September 2006
http://swingdaddy.blogspot.com/2006_09_01_archive.html
Saturday, September 30, 2006. Bud was a bit moody today. He woke up at around 6:00, and I got up to see if he'd go back to sleep. No dice. So we got up, got some milk, and played for a bit in his playroom. He was having fun with the puzzles. I even extracted quite a bit from up his nose. In any case, we emerged much cleaner than we started, and got going on the bedtime routine. Bud was pretty tired, and went to sleep quickly after milk, Pingu, and a quick bedtime story.
